Create the Ultimate Home Theater!

In my house, we like to entertain. Our house has always been kind of the gathering place for all of my family, and our friends. It’s become even more so these days, since this health stuff now keeps me at home more than I’d like. During the summer we’re all about outdoor fun – we have a big 4-bay shop where the guys like to tinker around, a giant fruit and veggie garden the kids love to help pick produce from, a big field with a great playhouse and fort, and the best part – a big inground pool that gets a ton of use! During the fall and into winter, it gets pretty darn cold here in the PNW, so we bring the party indoors… But that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop, no way buddy. And I’ve recently found an awesome new gadget that is on my wish list {are you reading this Santa?} – I can think of SO many ways to use this bad boy. Best Buy Mobile Specialty Stores

Have I ever told you how much I dread shopping for a new cell phone or calling plan? There are a few reasons I hate cell phone shopping: Staff who aren’t knowledgeable about the products. Even worse, staff who do know their stuff, but who value their commission more than finding the right phone for me. I’ve been debating changing wireless providers for awhile, and that’s tough too. Why Do-It-All Moms Need an All-In-One Computer

Tech Toys that Grow with Your Kids – We Love Ubooly!

Can You Make a Smartphone Kid-Friendly? – #MeetYours

Do you ever catch yourself saying things that totally make you feel old? Things like – “When I was a kid, we had an Atari and that was it!” – in response to the kids asking for the latest gaming console. Or, “A cell phone at 7? Did you know that when I was in high school we didn’t even have cell phones? We had pagers??” What’s a pager, Auntie Meagan? “Well, you’d use a payphone to page someone and enter the number where you were at and…” – Um, what’s a pay phone Auntie Meagan? Yep, times they are a’ changin’. {Sigh.} Now, even toddlers know how to use things like apps and tablets. So, how does an old-school mom adjust, and make sure that the tech her kids use are age appropriate and safe?

Funny Super Bowl Commercials & Free $50 Best Buy Gift Card

The only reason I love the Super Bowl is the awesome food, spending time with awesome friends and family, and watching awesomely funny Super Bowl commercials. {What? There’s a football game going on during this awesome party? Lol.} I wasn’t really blown away by the commercials this year – I wondered at some of them, “You spent millions to get this commercial played, and THIS is all you could come up with?} – but there were a few that I loved. The Budweiser Clydesdales are always a fave – don’t tell me you didn’t tear up just a little? The God Made a Farmer one was really powerful, although I was bummed at the end that it was just for a truck. And… I absolutely over-the-top love both Best Buy AND Amy Poehler, so of course their ad was a favorite too. Check it out…
