How do you listen to music at home?

I recently asked this over on my personal Facebook, as I got ready to start reviewing the new Chromecast Audio. Because at first, I couldn’t figure out why I would need such a thing? I already have wireless speakers – I have several different ones around the house and patio. I stream my Pandora channels from my iPad to the speakers using bluetooth. It all works great, no complaints. I’d never really thought much about it, or considering doing it differently. If it ain’t broke, why fix it, right?

VIP Party with Godsmack and Pura Vida Tequila!

Big thank you to Pura Vida Tequila for inviting us to party like a rockstar with Godsmack at the RockstarUPROAR concert last month. We received complimentary concert tickets and a meet and greet with Godsmack. But all opinions are, as always, totally my own…. #815TequilaTime #PuraVidaParty

So… As I’ve mentioned to you guys a few times before – I like to party. Whether it’s throwing an epic birthday party for a 4 year old, awesome holiday events, pool party bashes – or whatever…. I just love to entertain. It could be at our casa, a friend or family member’s house, a local venue – doesn’t matter. So when I heard about an opportunity to head a few hours away to Seattle, to check out the RockstarUPROAR concert at White River Amphitheater, a place I’d never visited before, I thought it sounded awesome. Any reason to party and celebrate life, right? :) Then when I found out we’d get to hangout at the Pura Vida Tequila party bus, have a meet and greet with the guys behind the brand to learn more about their premium tequila – I was more excited. And THEN, I found out we’d also get to have some time to chat with Godsmack, the headlining band…. Well, it was a deal. Even with my busy schedule, I could make this happen….

Even Moms Can Party Like a Rockstar….

I’ve had a rough week. Like, really rough. I was supposed to travel to Chicago and then Wisconsin, to the Kimberly-Clark HQ, to speak to a panel of other mom bloggers about potty training, and how awesome the Pull-Ups Big Kid Academy is. {And honestly, it really is. If you have littles, or know someone in potty training stage – share it with them. They’ll love you forever.} But then we had a major family emergency. Like, life-threatening emergency. And I didn’t feel comfortable traveling across the country when my family was in such an uncertain place. But, we were blessed…. Things have changed dramatically in a few days. It looks like everything will be ok. I can breath again. And – it’s awesome that as that happens, I also get to have an amazing event to cover tomorrow – the Rockstar UPROAR Festival, at the beautiful White River Amphitheater near Seattle, Washington.

How to You Listen to Music? #AudioFest

I’m a music lover. An eclectic music lover. Where some people need silence to concentrate when working – I need music in the background. I need music playing all day – when I get ready for the day in the morning, when I clean the house – and let’s not forget dance parties in the kitchen while we cook dinner :) And, because I have a really wide range of music that I love, it’s been totally amazing the past few years to get an iPhone, to discover Pandora, and learn that there are awesome speakers that can play my choice of streaming music wherever I am in the house – bathroom, kitchen, or even by the pool when we entertain in the summer. Love-love. I also come from a big family filled with musicians….

This is my younger brother James, who’s been in a band for about 10 years now. {And, this rad, totally randomly snapped pic, came from my point and shoot I got from Best Buy too.} So, since I’m a music lover, it explains why I’m super excited that my absolute fave store for gadgets and tech gear is celebrating the love of music this month with their Audio Fest event. Summer Pool Party Playlist – and the Best Way to Listen to It

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Soundfreaq. I received a Soundfreaq Sound Platform 2 to facilitate my review of this new wireless sound system – all opinions are 100% mine, as always.

As many of you already know – “My name is Meagan, and I like to party.” {Tell me someone else has seen Hot Rod too? Lol.} And during the summer, all of our parties revolve around the pool – we’ve got a big in-ground pool that definitely leads to some good times in the sunshine. Are you a rock junkie? Love outdoor festivals? Here in Washington state, we have a few really amazing outdoor venues, so I’ve been to quite a few big outdoor shows. What’s Your Favorite Christmas Song? – #Giveaway

“It is Christmas in the heart that puts Christmas in the air.” – W. T. Ellis… Nothing puts Christmas in my heart like some amazing holiday music.
