I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Soundfreaq. I received a Soundfreaq Sound Platform 2 to facilitate my review of this new wireless sound system – all opinions are 100% mine, as always.
As many of you already know – “My name is Meagan, and I like to party.” {Tell me someone else has seen Hot Rod too? Lol.} And during the summer, all of our parties revolve around the pool – we’ve got a big in-ground pool that definitely leads to some good times in the sunshine. Our house is always full of good people, good food – and good tunes! A good playlist is super important during a party… Let me share a few of my personal favorites for summer partyin’:
Summer pool party playlist
Love this list! It’s super eclectic and random – just like me :) And they’re all great feel-good tunes, perfect for all ages, and all guaranteed to make you shake your booty. These are some of the must-haves that I put on our party playlist whenever we have people over for summer days lounging on the patio and in the pool.
I love music. All types of music.
From early 90’s rap, to motown, to 70’s classic rock, to country – and just about everything in between. And having music on all day is an absolute MUST for me: from some early morning jams to get me awake and ready to work, to the dance parties Abby and I have in the kitchen while cooking dinner – I like some tunes rocking all day long. And while the radio can be ok – I really prefer to listen to my personalized stations on Pandora – so I always have the perfect picks to fit my mood. So I like a music-player that can travel around from the bedroom to the kitchen to the patio with me all day, bringing my fave tunes wherever I go.
What’s the best way to listen to online music?
I’ve tried several other gadgets that work with my iPhone to play Pandora – and they’ve all been great. Seemed to work really similar to each other, and I really wouldn’t have anything bad to say about them. I figured that all of these systems were pretty much the same and had stopped looking for anything new. But then I found the Soundfreaq – I had NO idea what I had been missing! Here are the main things that sets it totally apart from other systems:
- Wireless & Bluetooth: Unlike other systems where you have to dock your iPod or iPhone onto the device to play your music – this device works with Bluetooth – no docking required. That means I can still carry my phone around with me – snapping photos by the pool, checking my emails, updating my Facebook – without interrupting the jams! You can even use your PC to hook up your tunes too.
- Works with Android too: My boyfriend has an Android phone, and none of the devices we’ve ever found will work with his phone. But since the Soundfreaq works via Bluetooth – we can both use our phones with this ONE device. Love it.
- It’s portable: It’s super lightweight, making it easy to pick up and carry from room to room. I would love it if they added a handle of some sort to the top, making it easier to carry – but it’s really not a big deal.
- It can work in stereo: You can buy a second speaker too, and link them together for a full stereo sound experience. You know that this is definitely on MY list for fall!
I seriously can’t recommend this enough. I can’t believe I didn’t come across this earlier when I’d shopped for new speaker systems a few months ago. Another thing I really love is that since it works with Bluetooth, instead of having to dock my iPhone, I don’t have to worry about compatibility issues. The two other systems that I have are both made for the earlier iPhones, and I was going to have to buy an adapter to make them work. Now, I have a speaker system that will work with any phone I decide to update to, anytime in the future. And it makes it easy for my guests to play their favorite playlists too!
