Seattle Art Museum Summer Camp

If you’re in the Seattle area, then you know that the Seattle Art Museum is a must-see place for families. We’ve been several times when we visit that side of the state – {we’re about 2 1/2 hours from Seattle, but head over often, for Abby’s trips to Seattle Children’s Hospital or to visit grandpa.} And now, they’ve got some serious fun planned for your kiddos this summer – check it out:

The Pain of Working from Home

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of American Osteopathic Association for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Being able to have a job that I love, that also allows me to be here at home every day with my little girl, is an amazing thing. I woudn’t trade it for the world. But, there are a lot of “pains” that come along with the awesome parts….

The Pain of Working from Home

Some of the pains I deal with are due to the unpredictability of working online – things like an income that varies greatly from month to month, changes in social media or search results that can impact my traffic, and just keeping up with the ever-changing world of the web. There is also the pain of trying to balance both of my important jobs each day – the job of running and growing my online businesses, and the job of being a mom. But, there’s one pain that some of you probably share with me – the type of chronic pain that stops you from being able to live your life the way you’d like to. [Read more…]

My Messy Laundry Room Makeover

What does spring mean to you? For me, it means that I’m planting seeds for my spring garden, getting serious about weight loss since summer is approaching fast, and stocking up on great products to do a major spring cleaning extravaganza around this place. Spring really motivates me to get organized again – I mean heck, in winter, it’s so dark and dreary you don’t even really see those monster dust bunnies hiding in the corners… But once the sunshine of spring arrives, it’s hard to ignore the mess. And… We’ve been working on some MAJOR remodeling and DIY projects lately, so we’ve DEFINITELY got a lot of extra mess {watch for a big post soon!} – but between the major craziness of all that, I’m also working on those little “trouble spots” that we’ve ignored for far too long. Check out one of the worst offenders…
