Whether your boss was a jerk, your kids are one whine away from a lifetime of time-outs, or you walked around a crowded airport with your dress tucked into your tights for 20 minutes before someone told you about it {yes, this happened to me a couple weeks ago…} – this great website is sure to make it all better. Are you a rock junkie? Love outdoor festivals? Here in Washington state, we have a few really amazing outdoor venues, so I’ve been to quite a few big outdoor shows. OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL… Was anyone else a major fan of The Wizard of Oz when they were a little girl too? It seems like it was my first “serious” movie – The drama of it all, the witch that scared me all to heck, the love that Dorothy felt for her family back at home. And it’s such a perfect coming of age style story – the journey to realizing that what really matters in life was there all along, you just didn’t take the time to notice it. This is still one of my all-time favorite films. So I’m very, very, VERY eager to see the new take on my favorite story… Coming in March of 2013, watch for the release of Oz the Great and Powerful!
Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two… You’ve probably heard of this game by now, even if you’re not a big gamer. Disney’s new Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, is on all of the “Hottest Gifts of the Season” lists this year. I’d been seeing it everywhere, so I was pretty anxious to give it a try with the kiddos here at home. I know that sometimes video games can be a challenge – none of us want the kids sitting in front of a TV all day, right? But I’m a big lover of family game nights – and a really great vide game is a perfect way to keep everyone entertained and enjoying time together. Love that, right?

When I first heard about the iBounce, I was super excited to try it out. We used to have one of those little round trampolines, and Abby loved to get on it and try to bounce, but at 2 years old, doesn’t have the coordination to be able to do it safely. The fact that this one had the handlebars totally sold me! What a super smart idea. I was so hoping it would live up to my excitement. And it sure as heck did! There has not been a day that has gone by in the past couple weeks that we haven’t used it! As you can see, Abby gets some SERIOUS bouncing on here!! She gets so excited – If you watch the video, you’ll hear her yelling things like, “Looka meeee!!! I’m jumping!!!!” She likes wearing her butterfly outfit when bouncing, so she can “fly” – which cracks me up. In that first clip you see her at the end yell, “Juuuuuuuuuuump!!!” Yep, she likes it. And can you imagine how much easier it is to get her to take a nap after a 15 minute session jumping with Rompidy Roo? Here are a few other awesome features:
The only thing that I can possibly think of to make this better is if there was a way to make the handlebar section easier to remove and replace. That would make it easier to store this when not needed. We keep it out in the living room, {You can see in the video that we just put up our Christmas decor! It goes up as soon as we put the turkey and trimmings away after Thanksgiving dinner! Annual tradition with my mom and I} and store it in the spare bedroom when company comes. But honestly – this gets used so often, I can’t imagine we’d ever need to put it away for long!
