“Somewhere over the rainbow, bluebirds fly….” – Am I the only one who can’t even just read those words – I sing them in my head. The Wizard of Oz was one of my absolute favorite movies as a little girl – and it’s still, to this day, one of my all time most loved films. I’ve watched it so many times, I practically have it memorized. I read the books growing up too – {The Emerald City of Oz was my favorite.} And I love that my little girl is now a fan of the movie too! So of course, you know that I am crazy-excited for the new imagining of Oz to come out. I’ve been dying waiting for this, for months now. Which is why I get even more excited each time they release a new clip of the movie! Check out this newest one…
Oz The Great and Powerful – “Travel By Bubble” Clip
Now – some of you might remember that I went on a little casino trip to Wendover, Nevada about a month ago. It is a steal of a deal {you can see their special casino package deals here, if you’re into that type of thing} – and, I spent a lot of time on the slot machines. Out of all of the machines, at all 3 casinos, my absolute favorite was the Wizard of Oz game! I heard the music from across the building, and just knew I had to find it. It was so much fun – and it really drew you into the whole world of Oz. If you visit anywhere with slot machines – you must look for this one. And you should definitely mark your calendar for the premier of this amazing movie too, on March 8th. I mean – look at the stunning scenery, the gorgeous costumes, and ohmyheck – the fantastic color is just amazing. Can.Not.Wait.
Cosmetics inspired by OZ the Great and Powerful
Now that you fully know how much I love the Wizard of Oz movie from my childhood, and how super excited I am to see the new movie coming soon, you’ll understand why I totally flipped when I found out when I saw THIS – The Glinda Palette, inspired by the movie. I mean – one of the things I’m most in love with about the film previews is their use of color. Now to be able to get new make-up inspired by the colors and characters in the movie too? Sold. {You’ll also see the Theodora Palette too. They’re inspired by the Disney film’s theme of good witch vs. bad witch – and the good witch/bad witch dichotomy in all of us.}
Follow along and get new updates too – on Facebook and Twitter. You can see more on the official website too – www.disney.com/ozthegreat. And mark your calendar for the premier – March 8, 2013!!
