With cold and flu season officially upon us, many have started stocking the medicine cabinet with various OTC pills in preparation for when illness inevitably strikes – but believe it or not, sometimes the best remedies can be found in our kitchen! Rather than purchasing expensive pills from your local pharmacy, go with herbal remedies – the natural, effective, and cheaper alternative to traditional medicine. I’ve had to really explore these options this year… I was diagnosed earlier this year with majorly high blood pressure {like, 190/120, totally not cool} and realized a few weeks ago when I got the flu that many cold meds say not to take if you have high blood pressure. Which no one had told me about – good thing I read packaging! So, whether you worry about medical issues, drug interactions, are just are trying to avoid lots of OTC meds {which I also try to do} – here are some great tips….
Dreaming of a White Christmas? Check out Creekside at Beaver Creek
I’m dreaming of a white Christmas….. I love the snow. I’m like a little kid, all giddy at the sign of the first few flakes. Christmas without snow just isn’t Christmas to me. Do You Know the Secret to Winter Style for Busy Moms?
“What a strange power there is in clothing.” – Isaac Bashevis Singer… I’m a big fan of layered looks, and the cold weather of the winter months brings so many perfect accessories and layering options. As busy moms, we might admire the designer fashions in our favorite magazines, but they aren’t usually very realistic for our hectic lives. We need looks that are stylish & sexy – while still being sensible. And I want those comfy fashions to WORK – they should be able to mix and match easily, dress up or down, and take me from my office, to play/coffee dates with friends, and out for those rare date nights too. Did I mention that they also need to be affordable? No, I’m not dreaming – there is a whole line of fashions, available at Target, that can do all of this. Check it out…
