Earn {FREE} Rewards!

I was a member of Neilsen Home Scan Consumer Panel until last year, and there are some pretty amazing rewards that you can earn with this program. Seriously. I earned enough points for a new phone, some kitchen appliances, and a few cool toys for the kids. You also get monthly entries into all of their contests and sweepstakes too.

This is how it works:

“As a panel member, the National Consumer Panel will provide you with a hand-held scanner. Every time you or members of your household shop, you’ll use the scanner to scan the barcodes on all of your purchases. Then, once a week, you’ll send us your purchase information. It’s as easy as that!”

I just kept my scanner in the kitchen, on it’s little charging dock, so that I could scan things really quick as I put them away. The kids loved to help do this too. It takes an extra minute, but it is SO worth it when you get the rewards!

It is really simple to sign up, and then they’ll let you know if you’ve been approved quickly. This program has a limited number of scanners available, so it fills up quickly each time that they take new members.

I’m going to apply to get started again too… I only quit towards the end of the pregnancy, because I was just too tired to keep up with things. But I miss it, and miss getting the freebies :)

Would YOU buy this??

Ok, I know a ton of people that own a Snuggie, even if most of them don’t want to admit that they have one. :)

But really, a Snuggie for your DOG?? I am amused when I imagine what my puppy would look like in a tiny little doggie Snuggie, but what is the point? He has fur, right? So he’s kind of already wearing a Snuggie, right?

Whats next… Baby Snuggies? Kitty Snuggies? Do people really buy these??? If you have, and have a picture of your dog in a Snuggie PLEASE share it with me!!! I won’t judge you, I promise :) We have Halloween and Christmas outfits for our dogs, so I have no place to judge people who buy Doggie Snuggies!!

This just cracks me up. What do you guys think??

How to get Sweet Deals AND Raise Money for Your School!

Do you like getting amazing deals on family-friendly products? Do you like supporting your kids school? Hmmm…. I bet the answer to both is yes, right? :)

Then take a minute to go sign up to get Mamapedia Sweet Deals. Read a bit more here,

I get these daily Sweet Deal emails, and the selection that they offer is awesome. Super fun stuff, always. I’ve also made a couple purchases through Mamapedia, and love their customer service.

Like getting the Sweet Deal wasn’t enough, Mamapedia also donates 5% of your purchase to the school or preschool of your choice through the Mamapedia Savings for Schools Program!

The fine print… To get one of these Sweet Deals, the offer has to “tip”. Read on,

“We’ve partnered with some of the area’s top businesses and providers to offer fun, family-friendly products and services. By guaranteeing a minimum number of purchases for our partner businesses, we’re able to get the best possible deals that are much lower than any other you might find elsewhere.”

What this means is that, you’ll get an email with the daily deal, and you just click the button that you want to buy it. Then, at the end of the day, if enough people have clicked, the deal is approved, and you get your certificate. This is why I love to share Mamapedia with others… The more people see these deals, the more deals we all get. I’ve only had a deal not “tip” one time…. But, the more, the merrier!

I say certificate, because most deals are things like todays Sweet Deal: $30 worth of product at SpeakNicely.com for $15. (I actually just bought this one today!)

Once a Year Sale at Flirty Aprons!

I saw this apron today over on one of my favorite blogs, Take It From Me, and fell so in love that I had to go check it out. Even better, the company that makes it, Flirty Aprons, is having their Once a Year Sale!!! So of course, I had to share it with you, too!

The Once a Year Sale at Flirty Aprons is the Irregular Apron Sale, where they give really deep discounts (60% or more!) on aprons with limited defects… Maybe a bit of stitching not finished quite right, or a very small color defect. The flaws are stated to be really minimal. And since I’ll be getting it dirty in the kitchen anyway, I don’t mind too much if there is a itty-bitty flaw :)

They also have little girl (age 3-7) aprons that match some of the mommy aprons, which is just stinkin’ adorable as all heck.

There were soooooo many that I loved, but I decided to go with the Sugar and Spice design shown above…. Love it! I think it might motivate me to get started learning how to do cake decorating, finally! I’ll be looking for any excuse to wear this thing.
