Cherry Sparkle Cocktail Recipe

This week I made my Sweet’N Low Cherry Sparkler Valentine’s Day drink recipe as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #SweetNLowStars

I’m not always a big fan of Valentine’s Day – although I do love me some love. :) But, I had quite a few Valentine’s Days ruined by silly boys, in my early 20’s…. One went on a road trip with friends to Seattle, stayed a few days longer than he was supposed to, and called me on Valentine’s Day from- wait for it….. Hooters. That was nice. Another boyfriend, a few years later, bought me PJ’s, which I’d mentioned I was wanting…. But bought them for me in a mens size XXL. And I’m not that big. Sheesh. Even if was, how rude, lol. But even with some unfortunate Valentine’s Days behind me, I still get excited to celebrate. And with a 4 year old, and few options for babysitting, we have a lot of date nights at home. So, I came up with a fun little drink to make the evening more festive. Hope you enjoy it too.

Caramel Apple Sangria Recipe

This week I made my Sweet’N Low Caramel Apple Sangria Recipe as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #SweetNLowStars…. Hope you love it as much as I did!

So…. I’m sure you’ve heard it a few times already, but… It’s fall, ya’all! :) Which is honestly my favorite time of year. Here in Central Washington, the leaves are changing, the weather  is getting crisp, and it’s fabulous. So, I was inspired together a seasonal cocktail that fit the weather and the mood – but made it a little healthier by substituting out the sugar. Ready for it?

Pumpkin Spice Cocktail Recipe

Today I made my Sweet’N Low Pumpkin Spice Cocktail as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #SweetNLowStars.

I love fall. Honestly, as much as I love summer and pool parties – fall is really my favorite time of year. I love hoodies, boots, crisp and cool weather, apples, {I’m in central Washington, apple capital of the world, pretty much.} I love how fall is like, the gateway to the super-fun holiday season. And I love the foods and flavors – especially anything pumpkin-y.

So, since I love this time of year, and do a lot of entertaining, I wanted to create a new drink for our fall celebrations. Something totally delicious, fall-flavored, and of course – find a way to shave a few calories off of a party drink too. Check it out – my Pumpkin Spice Cocktail! #Ohmyheckyum

VIP Party with Godsmack and Pura Vida Tequila!

Big thank you to Pura Vida Tequila for inviting us to party like a rockstar with Godsmack at the RockstarUPROAR concert last month. We received complimentary concert tickets and a meet and greet with Godsmack. But all opinions are, as always, totally my own…. #815TequilaTime #PuraVidaParty

So… As I’ve mentioned to you guys a few times before – I like to party. Whether it’s throwing an epic birthday party for a 4 year old, awesome holiday events, pool party bashes – or whatever…. I just love to entertain. It could be at our casa, a friend or family member’s house, a local venue – doesn’t matter. So when I heard about an opportunity to head a few hours away to Seattle, to check out the RockstarUPROAR concert at White River Amphitheater, a place I’d never visited before, I thought it sounded awesome. Any reason to party and celebrate life, right? :) Then when I found out we’d get to hangout at the Pura Vida Tequila party bus, have a meet and greet with the guys behind the brand to learn more about their premium tequila – I was more excited. And THEN, I found out we’d also get to have some time to chat with Godsmack, the headlining band…. Well, it was a deal. Even with my busy schedule, I could make this happen….

The Elsa Cocktail – Disney’s Frozen Inspired Sangria Recipe

This week I made my Sweet’N Low Sangria recipe, inspired by the Disney movie Frozen, as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars. #SweetNLowStars.

Hi. My name is Meagan. And I like to party. {Anyone else seen Hot Rod? One of the funniest-cheesiest movies ever? :)} Anyway – I do like to party. Whether it’s a great dinner party with friends and family, a girl’s night with my besties, or a playdate party with my favorite-ist little lady – any reason to celebrate life makes me happy. And, since my little girl, like every other girl ages 1-100 in the world, is in love with the movie Frozen, I decided to have a fun Frozen themed night for her and a couple of our friends. Today I’ll share the drinks I made – Sangria for the adults, and a couple of non-alcoholic options for the kiddos. Over the next week I’ll share some treats, foods, and party ideas too. So be sure to subscribe via email to stay updated!

Elsa Cocktail - How to make a Disney's Frozen Themed Sangria Cocktail

How fun is this, right? I call it “The Elsa.” It’s icy blue colored. It has frozen fruit and fun frozen ice cubes – even star-shaped {the closest I could get to a snowflake :)} frozen pineapple slices. It’s also low-cal. Because it’s made with SkinnyGirl wine, and Sweet’N Low instead of sugar in the simple syrup. A delish drink that’s guilt-free, and super fun? That’s a win in my book :) So – here’s how to create your own at home… [Read more…]

Super excited to share my Sweet’N Low Blueberry Mojito Recipe as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars. #SweetNLowStars. Because you know, I love sharing cool stuff with you guys. :)

A few of my favorite things…. Summertime. Drinks with friends. Swimming in the pool. Fresh fruit. Relaxing – which I get waaaay to little of. So, taking some time to create a seriously yumm-tastic new low-cal drink recipe fits perfectly into my summer. {Because, time by the pool involves a swimsuit. So, low-cal, you know? :)}

This Skinny Blueberry Mojito is made with delicious fresh blueberries, Sweet’N Low, my fave rum, fresh mint, is low-calorie like I mentioned, and is even diabetic friendly. Perfect for summer entertaining.

Raspberry Mojito Recipe for Girl’s Night Parties!

I was compensated with some cash-money for this post. But as always – I only write posts if I love the brand, product, and message. I love this Trop50 juice, I love girl’s nights, and I love you….. What you need for a fab girl's night

Who is ready for a girl’s night?

Um, I’m going to guess that most of you ladies are waving your arms in the air saying, “*I* need a girl’s night, Meagan!! Pick me, pick me!!” And I feel ya – I definitely don’t get to spend enough time with my favorite ladies. Between doing projects on the house, chasing an increasingly clever almost 4 year old, watching my nephews, and oh yeah – running a business from home – well, there’s not a lot of time left for fun! But, I’m hoping to put one together soon, and wanted to share some inspiration. {Click here to see where to buy the items in the collage above, on Polyvore.}

  • Dressing up. Doesn’t even always have to be fancy. But something more than sweatpants and a ponytail. {Although I do love that society invented “yoga pants” – which are pretty much socially acceptable sweats. And messy buns becoming trendy have made things much easier for moms too. Thank you, world.}
  • Fun drinks. When you get girls together, it’s a good time for fun, fruity, pink, sparkly, delish drinks – right? And it’s even better if the drink is low cal – which you can do if you use my new favorite mixer, Trop50. {Keep reading to learn more!}
  • Accessories. You need hot shoes – whether they’re amazingly sweet heels that give you some swagger, flats that make you feel comfortably confident, or your most worn-in flip-flops – you need great gear on your heels. Add on things like sparkly bracelets, glittery clutches, and other baubles, to make things more fun. There’s no rule that says you have to stop playing dress up just because you’re an adult :)
  • Music. You canNOT have a girl’s night without great tunes! My favorite is the Bose speaker from Best Buy that plays music via Bluetooth from my phone. But anything that gets the night movin rocks. {And if you’re not using Pandora yet, you’re totally missing out!}
  • Movies. I love having a great “girl” movie playing when I have friends over. Next up on my must-watch list? Steel Magnolias. Can you believe that it was a Christmas gift from my bloggy buddy Dusty from As Mom Sees It, and I still haven’t gotten a chance to watch it? #NeedToMakeTimeASAP
