Learning to Take Potty Breaks – #PullUpsPottyBreaks

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Huggies Pull-Ups.

“Any mother could perform the jobs of several air traffic controllers with ease.” –Lisa Alther… Yep, as moms, our lives are filled with chaos. Even the best organized, on top of things, in control mom still has days that feel out of control. {Err, at least I hope so. I don’t know any of those types of moms, so I’m just hoping that even the perfect ones have days like mine….}

Nature’s Sleep Memory Foam Pillows Give Us All A Good Night’s Sleep! #NSAmbassador

Nature's Sleep BloggerI’m excited to be partnering with Nature’s Sleep – they provided me with the memory foam pillow to try out and share my honest opinion. Because we all deserve a better night’s sleep!

A good night’s sleep… Sounds like such a simple thing, right? But after becoming a mom, it’s one of those things in life that changed. Like the size pants I fit into, the tiger stripes on my stomach, and the number of grey hairs on my head. At first, it was the newborn days… I feel like I was either feeding or pumping every hour of the day and night. But I have no idea – I was so sleep deprived it’s all a blur. Now, as an almost 3-year old, Abby sleeps pretty well. She’s on a funky sleep schedule since dad and I are both work at home parents, and she stays up late with us, and sleeps in late with daddy. But, the biggest problem for all of us is that she sleeps in our bed. And it’s a queen size bed. And none of us would go by the nickname “slim,” if you know what I mean :)

Swapping Roles with Aging Parents – Learning to Compare Medicare Part D Costs

This is one of two sponsored posts for Walgreens. Thanks to Walgreens for trusting Sunshine and Sippy Cups to tell the story of caregiving and  comparing Medicare Part D plans. Compensation was received, but opinions shared are 100% mine – as always.

“To us, family means putting your arms around each other and being there.” – Barbara Bush… My family is everything to me. We’ve been through a lot of challenges. But at the end of the day, like most families out there, we all know that we will be there for each other. When I was sick as a little girl – my dad would make chicken noodle soup. My mom would brush my hair from my forehead, and sing me songs to help me sleep. So now, as my parents are ageing, and need more help, I’m trying to do my best to balance the demands of my new life as a mom with my responsibility to help through these new challenges in their life. After a lifetime helping me grow into a strong, compassionate, capable woman – it’s now my time to show them what a great job they did.

10 Things Every Mom Needs In a Summer Pool Bag

This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Huggies, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #HuggiesSwimmers  http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO.

In my family, summer means a lot of time in the water. We just bought a camper, and are super excited to spend more time up in the mountains on the lake. {We’re actually thinking of buying a boat ourselves soon too.} My dad lives on a sailboat that he’s getting fixed up, and ready to take us sailing on the Washington coast soon. And we have a big in ground pool that is the main gathering place each weekend for all of our friends and family. Now that Abby is almost three, we’re finally teaching her to swim too – check her out in her first time swimming {in a life jacket, of course} without someone holding her, for the first time. So much fun… {And yes, her nickname is Chunkamonk, lol.}
