Sunshine and Sippy Cups

Meet one of my Favorite Baby Companies: Ah Goo Baby!

One of my very first baby purchases was the Plush Pad Ah Goo Baby. I’ve told you guys before that I was quite overwhelmed when I first attempted to start the baby shopping… My oh my! There were so many choices, everything was so adorable, and everything was marketed as a “must have” item! How would I ever figure out what we really needed, so I could buy the best for my baby girl on my very limited budget?

Loads of Research…

I was still working on finishing my degree when I found out I was pregnant, and I took on the baby-shopping project with as much effort and research as I did my term papers! {This was just as much work, honestly, but so much more fun of course.}

I read loads of online reviews, tons of those “Top 10 Products Every New Mom Needs”, and most importantly, asked my best friends and family for advice.

Smart Shopping

A year later, I can look back and say that I really did buy “just enough”. We had everything that we needed, and there is nothing that we bought for baby that we didn’t use. So, this momma did a good job :)

The Plush Pad…

We didn’t have an extra bedroom when the baby was on the way, so I decided to overhaul my bedroom, to make it a really beautiful and cozy place for baby and I. {I figured between feeding, rocking, and sleeping, we’d be spending a lot of time in there, so I’d better make it a nice place to hang out.} I didn’t have room to add a changing table, which I was bummed about. But truly, we really didn’t need one!

Changing Station…

Since we wouldn’t have the traditional changing table, I chose to set up my own “Changing Station” as an alternative. I bought a diaper stacker bag to hang on the side of the baby’s crib, a super cute little shelf with three little gingham lined baskets for supplies like baby powder and wipes, and the Plush Pad by Ah Goo Baby. The Plush Pad is so darn cute, it sits right on top of the shelf, and adds a pop of color to the room. When it’s changing time, I just lay the pad down on the bed, then settle baby down on the soft and cozy memory foam cushion. {the pad feels soft and plush, but is still waterproof!} Such a great option for anyone who is short on space!

A Few Facts:

• There are portable vinyl and plastic pads available in all sorts of gimmicky shapes or that come in your diaper bag as a freebie, but they are all still cold, hard, and meant to be wiped down with a sponge.  The Plush Pad® is soft, warm, water-repellent and machine washable!
• The Plush Pad® is now used by a growing list of celeb parents – including Jessica Alba, Naomi Watts, Rebecca Romjin, Nicole Kidman, Patrick Dempsey, Allison Sweeney, Jenna Elfman, Marcia Cross, Amanda Peet, Jason Priestly, Jamie Pressley, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, and the list goes on.
• This mom-invented product {the best products are always mom-invented, aren’t they?} incorporates a lush memory foam cushion, providing superior comfort and support for baby while still enabling ultimate portability for the on-the-go parent with a patented rolling design.

One lucky winner will get to choose their own pattern and design, and win one free Plush Pad for their little one, from Ah Goo Baby!
