Trucks aren’t just for boys

My favorite thing about being a mom is watching Abby discover new things. {Well that, and those big hugs around the neck and sloppy kisses. Those rock.} I love being able to give her new toys, and watching the creative ways that she finds to play with them. And… My little girl is a total contradiction – she loves dressing up in mommy’s accessories and shoes, loves pink, loves her baby dolls – but also loves her trucks, and going to watch the race cars with daddy! And, I totally encourage that contradiction, you know? A few months ago I’d bought her a Pink Dump Truck, and she was over the moon. So I was super excited to bring home the Steer-me Steve from MEGA Blocks, and see how she would react…

This is her, playing with Steer-me Steve, in all her gap-toothed, wild haired, crazy outfitted glory. {She insisted on wearing her coat. It has dog shaped pockets. And she loves dogs. She is the boss….} I have quite a few better pics than this, but still – this is my favorite. She is a little silly-bug, and I love it. The brand says, ” Steer-me Steve is perfectly designed for little hands to grip the steer along wheel as they drive through the house picking up the included blocks in the set as his cargo.” And that is the best part of this little guy – She can “drive” him as she pushes him through the house, bringing her favorite things along for the ride. And she usually stops to discover something new along the way, and add it into the truck too, to join her trip through the house…

This is how Steer-me Steve hangs out at our house – filled with “babies,” just waiting for a chance to go for a cruise. If you have a toddler, you know how much they love filling things up, and then emptying them back out. They also LOVE to transport things from one place to another. So, this toy totally combines their fave things into one adorable toy. Abby will load him with her fastest race cars and drive them all over to her toy track, or she’ll fill it full of dollies to take into the living room for movie and snuggle time. The dump truck empties out super easily at the push of a little lever – simple for little hands, and super fun.

My 5 Gym Bag Essentials – And I’m Giving Them Away!

I’m not a sporty type. In fact, I didn’t even own a pair of sneakers until I went to the {super, duper, totally amazing} Nike Kids event a few weeks ago and they gave me some sweet new kicks. Why these shirts Rock

Recently I had the opportunity to review a couple of shirts from Crazy Dog Tshirts. I spend hours trying to find the perfect shirts for my husband. I looked at all the movie ones and found a couple that he would like but then decided to see all the other wonderful shirts they have. It finally took me a couple of days to decide on which ones to get for sure. There were so many to choose from and I finally narrowed it down to just a couple.

First Shirt – Paddle Faster, I hear Banjos

Paddle Faster I hear banjos t-shirt. The movie Deliverance bring us the classics. This hilarious t-shirt is screen printed on one of our super soft tees. The deliverance t-shirt is one of our newest additions to our funny t-shirt line! One of our famous movie t shirts. Navy with white lettering, one of our best sellers, funny t shirt, cool t shirt.

My husband thought this shirt would be funny since we moved from to the south a few years ago. The first thing I noticed about this shirt when it arrived was that it was super soft. It’s a nice dark blue color with that faded white logo. After washing this shirt it still kept its softness. This shirt is washed at least once a week and has held up perfectly. The one thing my husband loves about this shirt besides the softness is that the collar has kept its shape. Normally he notices that the collars in most of his shirts start to stretch after just a couple wears but this one has stayed soft and kept its shape.

Second shirt – Sorry folks, parks closed.

Wally World t shirt. Paying tribute to the famous Wally World in National Lampoons Vacation movie. The Wally World shirt we offer is screened on our super soft tees and has the classic saying “Sorry Folks, Park’s Closed!”. Don’t you think that Moose outside should have told you? Wait until you try on this awesome shirt!

This is far my favorite shirt that I have reviewed. This shirt came from their sister site Nacho Mamas Tees. Every time I see Marty Moose it reminds me of John Candy (Lasky the security guard) being taken “hostage” and riding the rides. This is one of those movies that you can’t help but laugh at. There is always something that goes wrong in a National Lampoons movie. Out of the many times my husband has worn this shirt, only one person has known exactly where this shirt comes from. This movie along with National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation are two of those movies that are a must see. If you have never seen it, please do. It’s great.

There was a little problem with the Parks Closed shirt. When I got it, I washed it inside out on cold and the color’s bleed. I immediately contacted the company letting them know what had happened. They apologized about this and said that they had never seen this happen before. They immediately sent me out a replacement shirt which was the exact same one and I had no problems with this one. Later on, I had received an email back letting me know that they pulled the lot of shirts that the first one sent to me came from. They didn’t want that to happen to anyone else and that they thought the problem was that they didn’t get a chance to cure long enough in the dryer. Finding this out makes me appreciate a company even more. Not only did they handle the situation fast and effective BUT they made sure that the problem was taken care of. Because of the way they handled this in a professional manner I would highly recommend them to anyone. Not only do they sell quality shirts BUT they stand behind each and everyone they sell.
