Quick Beginner Couponing Tips!

Check out some of my favorite coupon sites, and get the newest coupons to save YOUR family more money on groceries!

You don’t have to be a couponing expert to save money. Start small:

Check out these sites, and find coupons for products you KNOW you’ll be buying anyway.

Add them to your store reward card or print them out and clip.
Put ’em all in an envelope, make a list on the front of which coupons you’ve got, and make sure to pick up those items while shopping.
Hand your envelope to the check out clerk.
See your savings add up!
It really is that easy peasy, I promise :)

So, here are some great coupon sites you can use to get started:

I’m sure you’ve heard of Coupons.com, they’re a big one. Browse through their selection, and print out your favorites.

Cellfire is a really cool one that I’ve become a big fan of. You simply choose the coupons you like, and then add them right onto your store reward card. Then they are AUTOMATICALLY applied to your purchase, without needing to clip and carry any coupons at all! Some stores even let you stack these on top of your printed coupons!

Sunday Coupon Preview is a really cool site, it allows you to get a “sneak peek” at the coupons coming that out in the next Sunday paper. Very cool, check them out!

RedPlum Coupons is another really great site for printable coupons. I find a lot of our favorite brands here!

Two Great Photo Deals to Choose From!

Visual Studio: Another freebie that I got from TradePub. I’m not sure if it’s available still {it’s been great at teaching me some new ideas}, but you can get a Free Subscription to Total Landscape Care magazine Click Here if you’re a summer lawncare junkie, or browse the other titles too. All 100% free, so strings.
All You Magazine: Ok, so this wasn’t exactly free, but it comes with SO many coupons inside, and it’s such a great deal, that it had to be included! If you’re a coupon clipper and a deal junkie, you NEED to get a subscription to All You, it’s my VERY favorite. Get it here: All You Subscription, 0
Burt’s Bees: This was such a fun promotion! The Burt’s Bees facebook page had a promo that I found out about on Free Samples MySavings, where you could pick a color of the new Tinted Lip Balm to get FREE for yourself and send one free to a friend too! Like them so you don’t miss the next cool promo!
Dog Food Coupon: This was a REALLY cool coupon for $5 off a bag of dog food at Walmart, making it almost FREE! I found this through MySavings.com MySavings.com coupon section, but you can also always check out the Walmart Sample section directly right here-Walmart Samples.
Kraft Free Product Coupons: I got this as a member of Kraft First Taste which you can sign up for too! They let you try out NEW products for FREE, and then give them your feedback about them. I got two FREE products, and two $1 off coupons. Excited to try them out.
Gold Bond Sample: This also came from Walmart, and was a sample that I found online at Woman Freebies, Click Here to learn more and see what freebies they have posted today!

{Father’s Day} Crafts, Coupon Codes, Ideas, and More!

I’m quite a bit behind schedule today.

Baby’s surgery:

My baby girl had surgery yesterday. It was a minor procedure; she had a blocked tear duct that needed to be opened, but it required general anesthesia which scared the heck outta me. But it went great {I’m going to share a bit about it in a post later} and she’s home and looking good. But today is catch-up day!

While going through my {totally overflowing!!} email inbox, I saw tons of great Father’s Day ideas, so I’m going to share a round up here of some favorites!

Parenting: Sweet article with 5 ways to make Father’s Day special. Read here. My daughters dad has two older daughters, so this isn’t HIS first Father’s Day, but it’s the first one for me and baby to celebrate with him, so I loved reading these ideas!

So far, I’ve had some amazing ideas sent to me! And the sign up only takes a second. Todays idea is from Alicia Silverstone: “sonic ties” that are hand-woven from recycled audio cassette tapes and and fabric. Each one is an individual work of art and believe it or not–they actually play music! For those of you that still have cassette players–if you run a tape head over the fabric, you’ll hear a sound collage. So cool. {Not So} Extreme Couponing Tips!

You all know I like to save money.

I’m a new {and unexpected, due to job loss!} stay at home momma. Losing your job is scary enough, having a brand new baby and all of those expenses is MUCH scarier!

So, I need to save as much of our money as possible, while still having fun and living a good life!

I loved the show Extreme Couponing when it first came out, because it made couponing a little bit more “trendy”, and my friends became more accepting of me and my dorky coupons at the grocery each week, lol.
