Five Ways to Get Free Disney Stuff

This post contains affiliate links….

I went to Disney World for the first time when I was a freshman in high school. I played the flute in the marching band, and every 3 years they went on a major trip. I lucked out that my first year in high school they had one, and I was able to march in the daily parade at Disney World, and play in a concert at Epcot Center. I’d never been on an airplane or even stayed at a hotel before that! Crazy, right? Then a few months ago, we were blessed to be invited to visit Disneyland as part of the Disney Social Media Moms event. It was my family’s first time there – and we only got the invite a few weeks before the event! We had little time to prepare for it – but it really didn’t matter, since everything they put together for us was SO over-the-top amazing. {If you follow me on Instagram, I’m sure you saw the BOATLOAD of amazing photos I shared while we were there!} It was seriously the most incredible experience I’ve ever had, and I cried seeing how happy Abby was being a part of it all <3 {Because I’m a sap. And I cry a lot. Have you seen me watch the movie Armageddon? Oh my….. }

Stay-at-Home Date Night Ideas

This post brought to you by Breyers Gelato Indulgences. All opinions are 100% mine.

“Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens. Brown paper packages tied up with strings – these are a few of my favorite things…”The Sound of Music. So, I love a good “night out.” A night with the Mister where I get dolled up, we have a babysitter, and we go out for a meal that someone else makes and cleans up, a movie that’s not Frozen, or some karaoke and dancing with friends. But, that’s not always in the cards. But even when we can’t go out for a date night, that doesn’t mean we can’t have date nights at home. And honestly – my Mister, some snuggle time, and great food and desserts are some of my favorite things, so a date night at home is sometimes even better than going out :) Here are a few ideas we use, that might help jump start your imagination on creating fun date nights at home too….

X-Men: Days of Future Past Freebies and More!

Thank you to Global Influence for the chance to share this fun info about freebies from X-Men: Days of Future Past with you guys in a compensated post – enjoy!

I’m pretty sure that everyone reading this has heard of the X-Men movies, right? Most were already familiar with them from the comics we read as kids, and there have been quite a few of the movies made in the past few years. {I tried to look it up to find exactly how many it’s been, and found a lot of different answers. I know we personally have seen 4. And I was very amused that on a page about the Wolverine movie, there was an ad for Great Wolf Lodge. I’m easily amused…. :)} Anyway – needless to say, we’re pretty excited for the new film coming out soon – X-Men: Days of Future Past. X-Men movies are always super popular when my nephews come to stay for a sleepover, and taking them to the theater to see this when it comes out May 23rd would be serious fun. If you haven’t seen the previews yet, check out the epic awesomeness {and keep reading to learn how to get some cool free stuff!}

“I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream….” We all remember this song, right? It’s from the classic Disney movie Sleeping Beauty, that most of us grew up watching as kids. And now, that classic story is back – not just “re-imagined” or “re-made” – but showing a whole new side to the villain from the movie, the evil Maleficent.

Why I Love the Muppets – #MuppetsMostWanted

Starring Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell and Tina Fey, Disney’s “Muppets Most Wanted” takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour where they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper.

Are you a Muppet Lover too?

Ok, seriously – is there anyone who doesn’t love the Muppets? My first Muppet memory {Muppery?… } is of that old 80’s Christmas special, A Muppet Family Christmas. Remember that one, from the late 80’s? {Does that age me, mentioning that I’m a child of the 80’s?} Kermit and the gang go to spend the holidays with Fozzie and his family, at the farmhouse. I also was a total Fraggle Rock junkie as a kid, and they make an appearance in this movie too – making it even better. I cannot even count how many times I watched this as a kid. Need a trip down memory lane?….

Smurf Cupcakes and Family Night Ideas!

As a member of the Collective Bias®  Social Fabric® Community, this family date night shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study to share fun dinner and movie night ideas using featuring Tyson Batter Tenders & Smurfs 2.

By now, you guys know I love any type of theme night, right? With some creativity, a bit of DIY skill, and just a little extra time, any mom can create a really fun family date night on a budget. And for me, the easiest way to put together an easy family day {whether dinner or playdate} is to base my theme around a super fun family movie. {A couple recent examples: Monsters U lunch, Little Mermaid crafting party} This week, I decided to do a fun movie date night featuring the new Smurfs 2, and those totally yummy Battered Chicken Tenders from Tyson. Some of you might remember me whining – er, mentioning – that I’ve had the flu for 3 days now. But even being under the weather, this was an easy little evening to put together, and the kiddos had a blast. I think I’m feeling better already… :)
