Fall is the perfect time to get away- great weather, not too hot or buggy, the beautiful fall foliage, and fall foods are some of my personal favorites. I love long weekends this time of year, and highly recommend grabbing the spouse and kids, hitting the road, and finding an interesting destination. One thing you never want to worry about when you travel, is the sort of hotel you will wind up staying in. It can be hard to book online- so many places “fluff” the reviews by having friends and family members post positive ones, and people generally only post ratings on hotels if they loved it or truly hated it. It can sometimes be simpler to stick with a hotel brand that you know, like Country Inn and Suites. I would venture to say that no matter where you plan to stay, there will be a location nearby (even out of the USA, they have quite a presence). Summer Travel Tips: Central New Jersey #GoCentralJersey

This is the first in my series of great locations to visit this with your family this summer. I’ve also got upcoming posts on cool things to see and do in Portland, Oregon, North Carolina, New York City – and of course my homeland here in Washington state! But today, I want to share a little bit about Central New Jersey – Home to some of my best buddies from my high school days.

I’m planning a visit to the area at the end of the year, and used these to find the perfect hotel that’s close enough to downtown dining and and nightclubs, decided that I really want to visit the Six Flags in Jackson, and was able to check out lots of other local restaurants, malls, and cool places. That’s SO much easier than trying to find places to eat and visit once you get to a new town, right?

Hotel Information: Find the best hotels to stay in, with maps to see what attractions they’re close to, the amenities included in your stay – and you can even book your trip using the on-site travel portal.
Sweet Deals: Learn about new promotions and cool offers that you can plan now, and take advantage of when traveling. This is updated often, so check back for the best new deals.
