My Story.
Many of you know about my weight loss goals. And that I’ve been looking for some type of direction, some type of plan, some type of something to help me get motivated and moving.
I’ve never really had much trouble with my weight, although it has gone up and down a bit over the years. Then, during my pregnancy last year, I gained over 60 pounds! Yep, I was a BIG momma.
I lost about 20 pounds in the first month and a half after I had Abby, and was really excited. I thought it would all keep coming off that easy, but I was wrong. Super wrong.
Everyone said, “It takes nine months to put the weight on, give it another nine months to get it off.” Well, it’s been 10 months and I still have waaay too much baby baggage attached to these much wider hips!
My struggle.
I’ve always eaten pretty healthy, and while I didn’t exercise, I was really active at work {I worked in retail management and fashion merchandising, where you’re running around all day, up and down ladders, and never standing still!} and so my weight was never much of an issue.
Now, facing a weight loss goal of 25-30 pounds, I feel kind of lost on where to start.
I know what I DON’T want:
- A quick fix. I want something I can stick with to keep the weight off.
- Something unhealthy. I don’t want pills or supplements with weird ingredients.
- A bunch of “diet” foods. I want to eat real foods, that I know are healthy.
So, when I got an opportunity to partner with the “Lean Green Mama” Jennifer McCay, I was SO extremely excited! Her approach seems like just what I have been looking for!

- Jennifer also reminds you that you don’t have to feel guilty for having trouble getting the weight off! If your life is out of sync, and your suffering from cravings, stress, anxiety, or fatigue, then she can teach you how to eliminate those problems with better choices!
Sounds great right? So much of weight loss sounds so simple, “Eat healthy. Move more.” But if losing weight really was easy, we’d all be thin, right?
