Share your BEST Halloween Pictures on my Facebook to get Featured!

Who else Loooooves Michaels Craft Store??

I used to work for Michaels back in my early 20’s, supervising the front end of the store, and teaching classes on beading and scrapbooking. I loved it! So, while there are a lot of other craft stores that have popped up in my area over the past 10 years, Michaels will always be my favorite.

HUGE Halloween Deals!

We were there this past weekend, and my mom went overboard with the Halloween shopping. Again. AFTER having just shopped at the Dollar Store and the Halloween store that afternoon. {Clearly you can tell where I got my love of holidays from, right?} The house is getting totally spookified, and I’m excited to share some pic’s later this week!

Right now most of the Halloween goodies are 50% off, and there’s also some great clearance to be found {at least at my store}. Check out the ad for some cool ideas, great sales, and awesome coupons.

And…. I’d LOVE to see some of YOUR Halloween decorating!!! If you’ve got some cool stuff set up, snap some pictures and come share them on my Facebook page! No, there’s no prizes, but I will be picking some of my favorites to feature in some posts the week of Halloween!!! So share your decor, costumes, how-to’s, whatever– as long it’s Halloween related!

A couple of you have asked how to add a picture to my wall – Just click like you were leaving a comment, and there’s an option to “add a picture/video”. Click that, then go into your pictures in your computer, pick the one you want to add, and add a comment with it too to tell us all who is in the picture!

What’s your FAVORITE Michaels department?

Are you a scrapbooker, beader, knitter, painter? Or….?? Share with me in the comments! I’m kind of a random-do-a-little-of-everything crafter. I’d love to hear more about you guys too!

65 Fun Fall Ideas for Kids!

I love Fall…

I live in Central Washington State, and one of my very favorite things about living here is the weather. We have four distinct seasons- gorgeously rainy springs, incredibly hot summers, tons of snow in the winter, and the most beautiful fall leaves! I can’t imagine living somewhere that didn’t have that change of the seasons.

To celebrate the coming of fall, one of my favorite local publications has an article in this months issue with 64 Fun Fall Crafts to do as a family. They’re all really simple, and include great fall stuff like pinecones, leaves, turkeys and pumpkins! You’ll find snack recipes, crafts, games, and more.

I helped contribute to this article {you can see the credits at the bottom- Meagan Paullin, local mom and owner and creative director of Sunshine and Sippy Cups!} If you’re curious, these are the dates that are my ideas:

  • September 25th- Toddler Exploring Set.
  • October 11th- Creative Crayon Recycling.
  • October 20th- Fall Tree Arm Print.
  • October 26th- Make Your Own Fall Magnets.
  • November 9th- Yakima Apple Pie Snack Mix.
  • November 14th- Craft a Homework Helper.
  • November 15th- Chore Money Jar.
  • November 16th- Magnetic Locker Organizer.
  • November 19- Make your own Sidewalk Chalk.

Sound like fun?

Baby Billie Jean- Dancing Babies Video

There are so darn many cute baby videos.

Someone emails you ONE cute baby video. “I have a minute, I can watch this real quick” you say to yourself.

The problem is, there are ALL those other cute baby video’s on the sidebar, and you watch another. And another. It can be a trap. An adorable trap, but definitely a time-wasting trap.

Since it’s Saturday, it’s ok to waste a little time, right? So…

Check out Sunshine’s pick for “Adorable Baby Video of the Day”:

Love it? Hate it? Let me know in the comments…

And leave me a link to YOUR favorite baby video on YouTube, and maybe I’ll feature it next, and credit you with finding it. Fun, right?

Love adorable babies? Then help pick the new Munchkin Bunch! My little one- Abby Piper– is one of the 10 finalists, and needs YOUR votes each day to be one of the top 5 cutie’s that get a spot in the bunch! Vote on the Munchkin Facebook page, 5 votes per day! Thank you for your support! It takes just a second- but makes a world of difference for us!
