I used to spend a TON of time on these sites, and earned a lot of money each month. Not enough to get rich, lol, but a really nice bit of extra money.

Now that I have the kids all day, and have been working on this blog and a {soon, I hope!} future Etsy shop, I don’t have as much time. But when I do have a few minutes to myself in the evening, I’ll fill out 3 or 4 surveys, from a few different sites. Then, at least a couple times a month, I have sites that I can cash out on! THat makes for a steady stream of extra bucks!

It’s definitely best to use several sites, since you will be able to earn money quicker.

Rockin’ Newsletter: PureWow

I’ve been a subscriber to PureWow for a few months now, and it’s a fun one.

Mostly just fun new updates on products, sales, celeb’s… Entertaining every day.

They also do quite a few giveaways, and deliver new promo or coupon codes in many of the emails, which is why I keep subscribed!

Starting the Weight Loss Journey…

Summer is coming, and I still have way too much of this “Baby Baggage” left over from being pregnant last summer…

It’s tough because, well, honestly, diet and exercise just aren’t my thing.

I like cupcakes. I like a glass of wine. I love to cook tacos, and bbq hot dogs, and eat tater tots.

Problem is, I kind of look like a tater tot. Which is not a good look.

I’m on a mission to lose about 20 pounds. Summer is coming, and our new house has a really awesome in-ground pool. And I don’t want to spend money on a new swim suit. So it’s time to get movin’.

I signed up today for the Jillian Michaels Free Trial, for a FREE 7 days of the program. Worth a shot, right?

You have to enter your credit card info to sign up, and if you love it and want to stick with it, they’ll charge you $4 bucks a week to continue. Not bad at all, right? Plus, I think that spending the money, even though it’s only a tiny amount, will help me to take it seriously. And if you don’t like it, you just cancel before the 7 days are up. I put a note on my calendar for day 6, so I can decide to cancel or keep going.

Don’t let this happen to you: Finances and your Spouse

This article today brought tears to my eyes. It is such an extreme example, yet it really could happen to anyone. So many of us as women simply let our partners handle our finances, and have no real idea of what our assests and liabilities are. Read this story from LearnVest to understand how important it is to know:

With wedding season upon us, you know we have to bring up those love and money topics: whether you should you sign a prenup and how marriage affects your finances.

And here’s another one: how your husband can keep financial secrets in a marriage and leave you with $3 million in debt when he passes away.

It sounds like a financial urban legend, but it happened to Carol Ross Joynt. In 1997, Joynt was 47 years old and living in Maryland, a successful producer for Larry King Live, mother of a healthy little boy, and happily married to her husband Howard, who owned the legendary Georgetown restaurant Nathans. They lived a lavish lifestyle complete with vacation homes and designer clothes, and she was very much in love.

Then Howard died from pneumonia. Joynt’s grief was multiplied by the shocking revelation that he had hidden a financial mess from her for years—most notably, he was under investigation for tax fraud, and the IRS was turning to her for the $3 million owed…..
