Evenflo: A Brand Moms Trust

When it comes to gear for our kids, we all have brands we love and trust. One of those in our house is Evenflo. I had an Evenflo stroller when Abby was a baby. I used a couple of different carriers, back when she was still small enough for me to carry around. We used a ton of their toddler feeding products. This is definitely a brand I feel confident in, and that has grown with us from the time Abby was an infant to now, as a 4 year old.

And – I so wish this car seat from Evenflo had been around when she was a baby! It would have saved me loads of time, and is an amazing investment since it grows with your child. It works rear-facing or front-facing, for kids from 5-110 lbs. Meaning, the same car seat you strap your baby in to take them home from the hospital, is the same seat they’ll be using as a booster style seat when they’re preschool age! Awesome, right? Abby is 4 1/2, and big for her age. Like, bigger than all of the 5 year olds we know. And honestly – I was skeptical that this would fit her. But it’s perfect, with more room to grow! And – it’s just super snazzy, isn’t it? Love the color and design.

Safety is the first priority

Obviously, the very first thing any of us consider when looking for products for our kids – especially something as important as a car seat – is safety. Evenflo has thought of everything with this seat, and it far exceeds government standards. {Also, don’t judge that it’s a little dusty. We’ve been using this for a few months to see how it held up over time, and this is in daddy’s truck which is…. Less than pristine and tidy, lol.} The first thing I really liked was the removable, machine-washable car seat pad and and pillow, both of which make it more comfy, and keep kids cushioned comfortably into place.

I also like the really high sides that protect my little one in the case of an accident – she’s really tall, and her previous booster seat was much lower, with WAY less support. Once I saw her in this, we ditched the old seat for good! She just looked so much safer and secure. {Her favorite part is one you can’t see – CUPHOLDERS! They have stretchy sides to fit pretty much any size cup or juice box. Or her must-have, her Snackeez. You know, those cups that hold snacks on top and juice on the bottom? Very handy, and they fit perfect in these holders.}

The seat also contains an awesome feature called Gel Matrix™ Technology. As you can see above, it totally reduces the pressure of sitting in the seat. The more comfortable kids are, the less likely they are to squirm and fuss, which equals less distraction for mom or dad, which equals a safer drive for everyone.

The Evenflo ProComfort Symphony DLX car seat has 5 point harness system, and is also compatible with a shoulder strap seat belt for older kids who have outgrown that. {Remember, you can use it to keep kiddos safe up to 110 lbs!} And, it’s a little hard to tell in the photo – but this is another of my favorite features: It’s got buckle holders built in. I would never have thought of this, but it’s genius! After taking your kiddo out of the car seat, you take 10 seconds and tuck the metal buckles into the pockets on each side. This is awesome when you load them back in – no digging around under and behind them for tangled straps. And in summer months, it prevents them from getting super hot and burning them or you! Love it.

Another super awesome safety feature is the LATCH system for installing. This works in newer cars, and ensures that you are getting your seat installed safely – which was SUCH a worry each time we’d get a new seat! Our truck doesn’t have the ability to do this, check out this video – you can install it in seconds!
