Aflac Holiday Duck Supports Childhood Cancer Research
This great plush was designed by a patient at the Aflac Cancer Center in Atlanta, 16 year-old Monica Sandoval, from Winder, Georgia, who’s been battling leukemia for 4 years now. She’s super excited that her work will help raise raise money and awareness for childhood cancer. Childhood cancer has to be the saddest thing imaginable – kids going through such difficult challenges at such a young age. But kids are so amazing – and so good at keeping a positive attitude. I think that this adorable designed gift is the perfect way to really celebrate that great spirit, and help do a good deed too!
The Aflac Holiday Duck retails for $10 for the 6-inch duck and $15 for the 10-inch version. The Holiday Duck is available at over 600 participating Macy’s stores across the country and at www.aflacholidayduck.com. All net proceeds go to fighting pediatric cancer.
Learn More
To learn more about how Aflac is taking pediatric cancer patients “under their wing” – visit them online at www.aflac.com. Until learning about this great stocking stuffer duck, I had no idea that Aflac did any of this – I couldn’t believe they’ve been supporting the fight against childhood cancer for over 20 years, and I didn’t even know they were doing such wonderful things. I was already a fan of their services, but now I’m a big fan of the people behind the services too!
