FREE Kids Games: Educational AND Fun!

Have you tried Kabongo yet??

This is SUCH a fun program, and my nephews love it! And I love that it’s helping the older one remember what he learned in school while he’s out on summer break, and it’s getting the little one ready for Kindergarten next year.

It’s meant for kids ages 4-7, which is darn perfect, since our boys are 4 and 7! The 4 year old struggles a bit, but really loves the challenge of it, and I feel like he is making lots of improvement. Kabongo Rocks!

The 7 year old is already a pretty advanced reader, so I’m not sure if he learns a ton of NEW stuff, but it helps reinforce what he knows.

My Interview on Moment Garden

I was interviewed on one of my favorite sites…

Moment Garden

As a new mom, I want to record and remember every special moment with my new little girl. From the first time she smiled, to her first time eating “big girl bites”, her first time crawling, her first steps, and all of those other little “firsts” in between.

But, we all know how busy and overwhelming being a new mom can be! I was lucky if I remembered to write down my signature when I wrote out the checks to pay bills… I sure wasn’t able to find much time for writing down memories in those pretty baby books I bought!

That’s why I love Moment Garden!

It’s a super simple to use site that allows you to log in once a day, {or more, or less} and add a “moment” to your “garden” timeline. It even sends you quick questions once in a while by email, like, “What did Abby have for breakfast today? Did she like it?” That reminds me to jump on and add a quick line or two.

Everyday Moments

It’s so fun to look back at our “garden” online, and see all of those little memories… the quick updates, longer stories, and pictures, and see how fast she has grown and changed. And best of all, Moment Garden is a completely FREE service for you to use, and they make it super simple for your friends and family to contribute too!

My Favorite Kids Water Play Stations and Tables

Summer Toy Shopping

I’ve been searching for some great new toys, something fun for outside, that will be great for the baby, as well as entertain my 4 and 7 year old nephews.

These water play tables seem like just the thing to keep them busy and out of {too much} trouble. But what a tough choice… There are so many great ones!

Advice?

If any of you have used one of these and have some feedback, I’d love to hear it! And if you’ve been looking for some fun new summer toys too, check out my favorites…

The Little Tikes Anchors Away Water Play Table is just so, so, so fun!! And it would be a perfect addition to our HUGE Pirate Birthday Party coming up soon….

I really love the little ferris wheel-type feature on the Little Tikes Spiralin’ Seas Waterpark, and I think that the kids would have a ton of fun with it!!

This Step2 Play Up Adjustable Sand & Water Table table is a great price, and I really like the umbrella over the top. We don’t have much shade at all, and I’d love to keep baby out of the sun!

My little girl will be a year old next month, so I’m excited to start getting her more “Big Girl” type of toys, and she LOVES playing with her older cousins!! I can see all three kiddo’s having a lot of fun with these…
