{This post is sponsored by Lunchbox about Purina One available at Sams Club. All opinions are my own.}
So, let me tell you a little about myself. My name is Meagan, and I like to party. {That was a reference to the movie HOT ROD, one of the most amazing movies ever. Just saying….} Also, I am a crazy animal lover. When I was a kid, we had tons of animals. My youngest brother, on accident, almost killed them all. Example: We had Guinea Pigs. He was 3. He thought they were smelly in their cage. So he put them in the washing machine. Luckily, my mom found them right as it hit spin cycle. But we had chickens, bunnies, goats, turkeys, cats, dogs….. And today, we’re going to talk about dogs.
This is my little guy. His name is Deuce. We named him that because we had another dog before him, that looked almost identical, that got run over by a car. So he’s number 2, or, Deuce :) We got him right at the same time Abby was born. So Abby still calls him her “little brother” which I think is adorable. And they’ve always been the best of buddies. Yes, I know, the cuteness is hard to handle. And yes, I know, the photo quality isn’t amazing. This is a photo from 5 years ago on an old iPhone. Sorry dude. But it’s one of my faves :)
Again, horrible photo quality. But I’m telling a story here, ok? :) This is Deuce as he’s grown up a bit. And yes, sometimes I freak out because he looks like Falcor, from The Never Ending Story. What? No one else wants to jump on?
Sometimes he cross-dresses. So what? He can be whoever he wants to be :) If he wants to wear pigtails in his hair, with very beautiful blonde curls, then so be it. In my house, we celebrate our individuality! {This was his Halloween costume. I thought he was very pretty. He wasn’t quite as enthused….}
So…. Now you’ve gotten to know my little man, and hopefully have fallen in love with him too. Even with the really bad old iPhone pics :) Let me tell you a few things that I’ve learned about taking better care of him. Since Abby calls him her little brother, and he truly IS a part of our family {I’m sure all animal owners out there understand…} It’s important to me to take just as much care about what I feed him as I do Abby. Which is why I just started the Purina One 28 Day Challenge.
Benefits of the Purina One 28-Day Challenge:
- Bright Eyes: Your dog’s eyes are the window to his health
- Dental Health: Great nutrition and crunchy kibble support strong teeth and healthy gums
- Energy: An optimal blend of ingredients provides the energy your dog needs
- Digestibility: Highly digestible food helps more nutrition go to work inside your dog
- Taste: When your dog loves the taste of his food, it can make all the difference
- Skin & Coat: Balanced nutrients support a beautiful coat and healthy skin
Clearly he loves it. As you can see in the video, where he is chowing.down.all.the.bites. And in the pic above :) I’m already excited to see him loving a new healthy food, just like I am when Abby falls in love with a new fruit or veggie. My fur babies are just as much my family as my real babies. I want to make sure I keep them all as healthy and happy as possible. In a few weeks, I’ll share an update on how this Purina One made a difference in my little guys life… Until then, follow the #PurinaSC hashtag on social media to see updates from other pet parents to see their progress too!
