Give Gifts that Don’t Scream “Last Minute Shopping” – #PCHoliday

I received a complimentary package of products from Personal Creations to create this post abotu personalizing your holidays. All opinions are 100% my own, as always.

“One of the most glorious messes in the world is the mess created in the living room on Christmas day. Don’t clean it up too quickly.” – Andy Rooney… I’m pretty sure I’ve told you before, like, maybe 200 million times, how much I love Christmas. It makes me feel like a little kid again – I seriously get so excited. And, I love to surprise people with the perfect gift. Seeing even the adults in the family light up when they get something special totally makes my holiday complete. That’s why I work on my holiday shopping year ’round, to be sure I’m not just buying a “something, anything, whatever I’ll just grab this and get out of here!” kind of gift at the mall, last minute. And my favorite gifts are things that are totally personal for the person receiving them – I hand-make a lot of presents, I love to create photo cards and gifts, and one of my more recent personal favorites this year has been choosing an item that I know the giftee will love, then having it customized with their names or family details. To give you an idea of what’s out there, I have a few of my fave gifts from this year to show ya….

Kickasserole dish

Ok, first of all, let’s talk about a little gift I bought for me. Yep, I buy myself gifts “from Santa” every year. Because really, don’t moms always seem to get missed a lot when it comes to gifts? This casserole dish is perfect for me – the thing that I’m best at in the kitchen is a casserole or baked pasta. TI think my casseroles are pretty kick-ass, no lie.

Personalized Kickasserole dish

Here you can fully see the personalization – it’s got my name on it too. And, I love that this is a thick stoneware piece, nothing flimsy or cheap. And you can personalize it to say anything you want – I just thought that this one was funny :) They don’t just print it onto the dish, where it might rub off later – they actually etch it into the glaze on the bisque stoneware by hand. I can see this being a part of my kitchen for a lot of years.

Personalized mother daughter aprons

Speaking of spending time in the kitchen… I also picked up matching holiday aprons for me, my mom, and my daughter – with each of our names embroidered on them. They say, “Grandma Debbie, Mommy Meagan, and Abby Piper.” Many of my fondest holiday memories revolve around the kitchen – whether helping my mom, grandma and aunts make holiday dinners, or baking cookies together. Having a matching set of aprons now for our new generation of women cooking together makes me so happy.

Personalized Christmas Apron

And again – just like anything you order from Personal Creations, these aprons are absolutely top quality. The fabric is thick, the ruffled trim is perfectly done, and look at how pretty those holiday details are? Perfectly embroidered around the edges. We have our giant annual Christmas party this weekend, and I can’t wait to give these as an early holiday gift and have us all wear them together!

Personalized margarita glasses

Lastly, I picked up a set of gifts for my fave girlfriends – personalized margarita glasses! I bought a set of four, and had a different name etched onto each one. I’m going to fill them with a little bottle of tequila, a lime, and margarita mix – then tie each one up with a pretty red bow.

Personalized cocktail glasses

I put a little bit of tissue inside one of the glasses, so you can see the etched lettering a bit better. It’s really bold in person, and I know the girls are going to love them. I feel a girl’s night in coming on…. :)
