Create a #RedCarpetReady Movie Night Party for the Oscars

Getting #RedCarpetReady for our Oscar viewing party…. Ok, by now you ladies know that I love any reason to have a party. I also love sparkles and glitter and glam. So – what more perfect excuse for a party than the biggest red carpet event of the year – the Oscars. Just like my Mister can stretch out a football game into a full day event, I can make a great awards show like the Oscars into a full-on party, all evening and into the night! Let me share some of the fun ideas I’m working on, so you can use some of them too.

Creating a #RedCarpetReady Oscar Movie Night Party

Ok – to start out, I emailed invites to a few of my fave girlfriends, inviting them and their families to come over on Sunday for a movie-themed party night. I have a sweet red carpet that I’ll be rolling out to greet them {hopefully outside, leading to the front door – depending on the weather.} I’ll be out there snapping photos, paparazzi style, to have some fun shots to send them as thank you’s for coming. And…. I’m making fun POP{arazzi}CORN cups too, that everyone can munch on as we watch a few videos of the “best of” style clips, of the Oscar nominees. We’ll be filling out ballots with our picks for who will win each category, so this helps a ton to make the films fresh in everyone’s memories again. We have a computer hooked up in the living room, so we’ll be watching this on YouTube – Oscar trailers and clips.

Wholly Guacamole Salsa

Vote for your faves – Oscar winning movies, and Salsas and Guacs from Wholly Guacamole!

Speaking of voting for our favorites…. The “Star” of this party is going to be the awesome selection of Wholly Guacamole Salsa and Guacamole. I printed out ballots using some adorable free Oscar party printables, so that everyone can make down their votes for the Oscar category winners. And Mike is making up some fun ballots so that guests can also vote for their favorite salsa and guac! Good times.

Super simple frozen margaritas

Super simple frozen margaritas – From Daily’s Cocktails!

And – this is a celebration, right? And when we celebrate, I love to make some creative cocktails for my girl friends. And I am soooo excited lately to have found a product that makes it super simple to create really delish frozen drinks, with little prep. They’re called Daily’s Cocktails. They’re awesome little pouches, already filled with a perfect mix of ingredients for things like margaritas in original or pomegranate acai, strawberry or peach daiquiris, plus pina coladas, frozen lemonades, and now even some amazing low calorie versions too. You toss ’em into the freezer until you need them. Then when you’re ready, pull ’em out, squeeze ’em a few times, and pour into a glass. {Or, FYI Tip: If you go boating or camping in the summer, just poke a hole in the top of the pouch, pop in a straw – juice box style – and enjoy.} They are uh-may-zing, no fancy blender or prep needed.

Celebrating – Red Carpet Style, for Oscar Night!

So that’s it kiddos. I’ve got a crazy-busy day tomorrow…. We’re hosting not only this red carpet party – but also a Nascar party earlier in the day, for the Daytona race. Craaaaazy. That means I’m entertaining peeps all.day.long. But – I love that stuff. :) So – stay tuned for more photos coming up this week, of the actual party. And make sure to check out both of these totally rockin’ brands when you plan your own next party. Daily’s Cocktails make drink prep absolutely as simple as it can ever be – and Wholly Guacamole products are so darn versatile, you can use them for everything.

Find them both online – Wholly Guacamole on Facebook and Twitter. And Daily’s Cocktails on Facebook and Twitter.

Are you celebrating the Oscars tomorrow too? Whether you’re just settling in alone to watch ’em at home, having a fun night with friends – or even going out to watch them at a club somewhere – I’d love to hear your thoughts! Do you have any fun party ideas to share? {That I can add last minute…. } And what are your votes for the winners? I still haven’t totally decided, and definitely want to win tomorrow when we do our party voting…. Share some comments below!

“I want to thank everybody who is here tonight, and everybody who isn’t, and everybody who has ever been born or may be born or be born again or reborn. If I’ve forgotten anybody then you probably know who you are.”
