This is way above and beyond, much cooler than just creating a basic family photo book. {Which, by the way, I totally suggest. I make a new one every year, featuring all of the best memories of the year, and give a copy to everyone in my family each year for Christmas.} Here are a few ideas of how you could use this:

  • Make a book with all of your best blog posts of the year. Use your greatest pics, your most heartfelt posts, the most meaningful campaigns that you’ve worked on. This is an amazing keepsake for yourself, and could be a fun giveaway for your true fans.
  • Pick a theme – and put together a book filled with your work from the last year. Pick something like, “Best creative activities for kids” or “Great holiday decor projects” – and create a whole book filled with them. It’d be pretty easy, since you already have the photos from your blog posts, and can copy and paste the content. Then put them up for sale in the Blurb Bookstore.
  • Obviously a recipe book could be a huge hit! This would make a great gift for family, a fun giveaway, a great promotional piece – and again, a great addition to the Blurb bookstore.
  • Put a few of your ebooks together into a Blurb book. No, not all of the content. But why not take some pieces of those books, put them all together into a fun hardcover book with beautiful photos, and then give readers the links to where they can purchase the full book? Or, heck – if you currently have an ebook longer than a handful of pages, why not also offer it as a real, paper, bound book? Some of us just aren’t the e-reader type, and would love to purchase a copy we can throw in our bag and read over coffee….
