Weekly Bloggertunities – 5/23

“Social Media is about sociology and psychology more than technology.” –  Brain Solis

As bloggers who promote brands, our goal is not to simply be a commercial for those brands – we’re here to help them build a connection to our readers. People read our blogs, and follow our posts, because they are educated and entertained by what we share. So, my tip this week is remember why people read you blog – and don’t let the possibility of getting paid make you post things that just aren’t a good fit. Good content is the most important thing you can do to build your brand and your blog. But – we do all need to pay the bills too, right? So here are some great places to find new ways to earn, too….

Monetize

  1. Paper Coterie: This is my very favorite photo product company – gorgeous designs, and such amazing quality. Signing up as an affiliate is easy, and the system is set up just like Escalate, so it’s easy to use. They’re also easy to promote since they always have cool deals and freebies. I’m lovin’ them!
  2. Infostable: If your readers love giveaways, you should do well with this. I signed up for some of the giveaway offers myself, to test it out – no spam, nothing weird. So I feel confident to promote them. You can sign up here – Infostable Affiliates.
  3. Sponsored Tweets: Share posts to twitter, earn cash. Seriously simple – learn more, and sign up for Sponsored Tweets today too!
  4. ChaCha Affiliates: This is another new one that I’ve joined recently – you have quite a few options on how you’d like to share their content, and it’s super easy to get started with and use. Learn more and sign up here.

Networks & Reviews

  1. Bookieboo Blogger Network: Fill out the application to be considered for upcoming opportunities like Twitter parties, brand ambassador positions, focus groups, and in-home parties.
  2. Question Moms: If you’re a business owner, you can get great feedback on your products or services. If you’re a blogger – you can earn incentives for sharing your feedback with the brands, and connect with them for product reviews too.
  3. Mamavation Network: This is a great forum that I just joined last week – There is SO much info here, great resource. And totally fee. Join me there today.
  4. JetPack Pens: Sign up for their mailing list, and get random free product that only needs a simple review. Seems easy enough, and I always need new office supplies. Apply here.
  5. Pro Home Stores: If you’re a PR2, under a million on Alexa, and not on a blogspot platform, then fill out this form for a chance to review a product of your choice {value $100} from one of their sites.
  6. Mom Central: Love working with them – great opportunities for reviews, blog tours, and ambassadorships. {Anyone else DYING to know who got the kitchen re-do’s and washer/dryer combos??} Learn more and sign up here.
  7. Uncommon Goods: Sign up for a chance to do a product review with Uncommon Goods – very, very cool products. You must be a PR3 to qualify.
