NEW way to save on groceries: Nothing to clip, nothing to print!

Welcome to Savings Star!

There’s a great new coupon company called SavingStar that recently launched and makes it really easy to save on groceries.

SavingStar’s eCoupons are totally paperless. There’s nothing to clip or print since they are 100% digital! They work at over 100 chains in 24,000 stores nationwide.

Here’s how it works:

1. Select the eCoupons you like on the website or mobile app, and they are automatically linked to your store card.
2. Use your card when you checkout and the money is added to your SavingStar account. The savings don’t change your bill at the register and the savings are not printed on the receipt. Instead, they get deposited into your account within 7-30 days depending upon where you shop.
3. Once your SavingStar account reaches $5 in savings, you can pick your payout from a bank account deposit, a PayPal account deposit, an Amazon gift card, or a donation to charity. More options to come!

{Freebie Friday} Restaurant Freebies

Everyone loves going out to eat… But it is NOT usually part of a frugal budget.

Here are a few freebies and deals to help you save some money, and still get to enjoy a night out!

Get FREE Chips and Queso at Chili’s, just print the coupon and give it to your server with your bill! Plus, you’ll get more free coupons in your inbox for being on their mailing list.

Restaurant.com has a really big selection of restaurants to choose from in MY area, and I didn’t expect that. So if they have a good selection here, they should have a pretty wide choice for anyone! I stock up on loads of these certificates a few times a year, for restaurants I know we’ll want to visit for birthdays and stuff. You can get $25 gift certificates for $5! For around $20-$25, you can easily get over $100 in certificates!

Groupon is another way to get restaurant certificates at SUPER deep discounts! It doesn’t have my local town available, so I sign up for the closest big city. That means I get tons of offers for around the state, for cool places to visit. So, since I know we’ll be visiting Seattle this summer, I can stock up on discount passes to the zoo and aquarium, and restaurant certificates too.

There are also TONS of loyalty programs out there!

Do a quick google search for a few of your very favorite restaurants… Both fast food, and nicer places. Sign up for their mailing list, and see if they have any other cool “clubs” or anything to join. You wouldn’t believe how many free offers I get in my email, and even in my regular mail, because of this. I don’t think we’ve eaten out anywhere without a coupon in over a year!

I’ve visited a few Chili’s when we’re out of town, but we don’t have one here. Bummer. But if you have one close by, this is a nice little freebie to print out! {Tip, print it in black and white, to save your ink! They’ll still accept it.}

It’s a good coupon to use when you need a break from working on your cooking degree from one of the online colleges.
