5 Minute Breakfast Bowls

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Jimmy Dean, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #RedboxBreakfast http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO.

I’m a breakfast lover. I tend to be quite a picky eater at most other meals, but there’s nothing breakfasty that I don’t. Sausage and bacon? Yes please! Scrambled eggs and potatoes? Pile ’em high! Pancakes and french toast and muffins, oh my! A little conversation out of Winnie the Pooh sums up my feelings about breakfast perfectly:

“When you wake up in the morning, Pooh,” said Piglet at last, “what’s the first thing you say to yourself?”

“What’s for breakfast?” said Pooh. “What do you say, Piglet?”

“I say, I wonder what’s going to happen exciting today?” said Piglet.

Pooh nodded thoughtfully. “It’s the same thing,” he said.”

How to Make Healthy Eating Fun

This post about healthy breakfasts that are high in fiber is brought to you by Kellogg’s and The Motherhood, and I’ve been compensated for my time. However, all opinions are my own, as always. Thanks for reading.

Nine out of 10 children do not get enough fiber in their diet. Did you know that? Many of you might not have – but fiber intake is kind of a big thing for me, so I’ve heard this statistic for a long time now. It’s gotten pretty easy for me to make sure I’m getting enough fiber – I love whole grain bread, I’ve switched to mostly brown rice and whole grain pasta – and especially in the fall, I make a ton of soup and chili that are packed full of high-fiber beans. But Abby isn’t as big of a fan of whole grains yet {she just turned 3 in late July.} So I just keep introducing new foods, hoping she’ll find new favorites.
