Tres Jolie! The March Glam Bag from Ipsy!

Hey ladies! I was very overwhelmed last week. Funeral, health stuff, scheduling appointments, the not-fun side of life. But I’m back, to share my latest Ipsy Glam Bag with you guys! It’s all about spring, color, light, easy, and fresh. I mentioned on Friday how much spring makes me long for pretty styles and happy looks – so this fits perfectly into my mood!

Ipsy March Glam Bag – Tres Jolie!

How fun is this collection? The story behind it is Tres Jolie, an easy, understated French girl makeup style and vibe. The bag is a chic, pale pink color on one side, with this fun print on the other that kind of reminds me of mermaids :) It was filled with pieces that coordinate perfectly, give a nice rose gold, sun kissed bit of brightness to my face, and as always – are matched to my exact skin type and shades. {You fill out a questionnaire when you join Ipsy, so they can find the best choices that are uniquely right for you!}

  • I started with the JeNu High Tech Beauty Marine Collagen Mineral Gel. The hyaluronic acid in it draws water right away to your skin, plumping it up and smoothing out lines. It leaves skin with a nice soft finish.
  • Then I add some of my own tinted moisturizer, followed by the PÜR Cosmetics Disappearing Ink 4-in-1 Concealer. It has a unique “Diamond Complex” to reflect light away from imperfections, giving you a slow. It’s also full of good-for-your-skin ingredients, which is a nice bonus.
  • Then I sweep a very light shadow on using my new Elizabeth Mott blending brush. It’s good for any shadow look, but is especially great for cream shadows. I love the color of this brush, so bright and fun, and also love that it’s cruelty-free!
  • I add a pop of pretty pouty color to my lips with tarte cosmetics – tarteist™ quick dry matte lip paint. It’s a vegan-friendly brand {which I know is super important to some of you ladies!} – it’s called a velvety matte finish, meaning it’s not super glossy and shiny, but not flat and matte either. Very natural looking. One coat is a perfect daytime look, then add a little bit of liner for definition and a second coat for more pizzazz in your nighttime look.
  • Last, a sweep of So Susan Brush & Glow – It says, “Like the mood ring of blushes, this has multi-chromatic pigments. Real talk: It gradually adjusts to the perfect color for your skin tone…no more spending hours trying to find the right shade.” I can say that this is pretty accurate. It looked way too bright for me in the package, but kind of magically matched me once I put it on. But, I have really red cheeks as-is, so wear veeerrrry light blush. I think this will be perfect for me once summer sun gives me a little more color, but for now, it’s a tad brighter than I’d wear for every day. But it’s SO smooth and a very realistic, naturally pretty shimmer to it.

So – once again, as always, I am more than pleased with my monthly purchase from Ipsy! You sign up, fill out the questionnaire profile, telling them which colors and types of products you like, favorite brands, what style and look you connect with most, your skin type and tone, etc. Then every month they fill up a box of pretty pieces to match YOU just right, ship them right to your doorstep, for just $10. Five gorgeous beauty products and tools in a cute cosmetics bag! That’s about the price you’d pay for one drugstore mascara, or a latte and a bagel one morning. Totally affordable, and such a fun way to be always experimenting with new shades, styles, products, and tools.

    Wow. sorry you had such a loaded week – thanks for sharing all this – love the feel goods here!

  2. I got Ipsy for a long time but kept getting repeat products so stopped it. Loved the bags tho.

      Really? So far I haven’t gotten any repeats. Although, I don’t think I’d mind, I have really liked everything. But I definitely like getting NEW things, so I can see why that would be annoying :( I’ve been getting it for about 7 months though, with no exact repeats. My only bummer is that I think I need to update my profile quiz thing – I keep getting almost the exact same lip colors/styles every month. I love the color, it is pretty much perfect for what I usually buy…. But I have enough now, and think I might want to try something more exciting!

  3. Wow! This looks like some amazing products!

  4. This Ipsy box looks so nice. I’d love to try the PÜR Cosmetics Disappearing Ink 4-in-1 Concealer!
