How to Make Artisan Chicken at Home

I was provided with complimentary product and compensation to try out this recipe for the McDonald’s® all new Artisan Grilled Chicken. All opinions and overuse of the word awesome are my own :) #McDPartners

So, you guys all know that I’m a big fan of McDonald’s.

That was my first job. And the franchise owners here where I live treated us amazing. My McDonald’s was in the mall, so it was fun. Also, I love that they partner with the Ronald McDonald House. That’s the place that helps families have a place to stay when their kiddos are at a Children’s Hospital. {Which my family has used a ton of times, due to lots of emergencies. It’s a lifesaver.} And it’s funded by you putting your change into those little donation boxes in front of each register. I also remember having birthday parties at McDonald’s as a kid. I see how excited my little girl gets when she gets a Happy Meal – with apple slices, smaller serving of fries, a cheeseburger, and a yummy chocolate milk, plus an awesome toy! So, Mickey D’s is a part of our life :) And now there’s a great new addition to their menu that has me super excited….

McDonald’s® has been overhauling their menu lately. One awesome thing they’ve added is the new Artisan Grilled Chicken. It’s 100% grilled chicken breast filet, and is made more tasty with everyday spices that we all have in our own pantry – not weird, hard to pronounce ingredients.

Real pantry herbs and spices

They mix up simple but yummy pantry herbs and spices like garlic, thyme, onion, salt, and sugar. Stuff that we all have on hand, and trust in recipes for our family.

McDonald's Artisan Chicken, made with pantry herbs and spices

It’s the kind of food you’d be proud to serve to your family in a home-cooked meal. I wanted to try out a recreation of this at home, so whipped up a batch of Artisan Grilled Chicken, inspired by McDonald’s, using this great combination of flavors. First, I mixed up all of those yummy herbs and spices.

Next up, I added some other goodies – fresh squeezed lemon juice, honey, and oil – then grill it up! Here’s the recipe, if you’d like to check it out at home, and see how fresh the new McDonald’s Artisan Chicken is for yourself….
