5 Epic Father’s Day Gift Ideas

I would share a photo of here of my Mister, but he’d kill me. He might let me photograph an arm while it’s showing off a recipe he’s making on the grill. Maybe a foot that accidentally gets into the photo. But he’s not much of a fan of fame, lol. So – instead, I’ll just have to tell you about my favorite guy, and some of the awesome gifts he helped inspire as I put together this epic Father’s Day gift ideas list.

There are a lot of different types of guys – gizmo gurus, fitness fanatics, memory makers – but my Mister falls into the entertainer category. We don’t go out much, and have been working on creating some pretty awesome spaces here at the house, since we entertain a lot. We’ve got a bit pool, a sweet patio space, a huge “man cave” style shop where he and his friends work on race cars, and a giant back field filled with a garden and kids play area. And I’ll admit it – while I want to get him a Father’s Day gift he’ll love, I want to spend my money on something the rest of us will enjoy too :) So here are a few of my FAVE gift ideas, and why. And I’d love comments later on which one you think I should get – it’s such a tough choice when I shop at Best Buy, seriously.

Krups BeerTender: This would be the perfect addition to my Mister’s “Man Cave” out in the shop, for just a little over a hundred bucks. And, it would be super fun to bring out when we have pool parties, BBQs, and… well, any other darn time we entertain. It has an LED temp indicator to let you know when your beer is frosty cold enough. The sleek design works in your kitchen, den, man cave, movie room, anywhere. And it fits perfectly with DraughtKegs you can buy at most stores.

Bose SoundTouch 20 Wi-Fi Music System: Ok, last year, the Mister bought me a smaller Bose wireless speaker for Mother’s Day. I’m one of those girls who, when you ask me what I want for a gift, I honestly have no idea. I’m happy with anything – truly. I never have anything in mind. And, I’m not a fancy jewelry type girl. But what I live on is music – I have it on all day, everywhere in the house. {And these Bose speakers are wireless, check out the awesomeness in this video.} Whether it’s cleaning the house, working in my office, having dance parties while I cook in the kitchen with Abby, or having friends over to hang out by the pool and patio – I love having music play. I would never have believed that it was needed to upgrade to a pricier speaker…. But lemme tell ya – go to your local Best Buy. Demo what other speakers sound like. Then listen to the same songs from a Bose. Oh.My.Heck. I will never use anything else again. I am not kidding. Check it out.

Samsung Smart HDTV: Ok, I admit it. Last year in my Father’s Day gift ideas posts I said I would buy my Mister a new TV. And I still haven’t. Which makes me such a jerk. He even says, “Everyone else has a flat screen?” But we’ve got a big ol’ giant of a TV – since I don’t watch much TV, and the screen is huge enough for my old lady eyes to see everything, and I hate to buy something we don’t technically need, and because we have a sweet flat screen from Best Buy in the bedroom already {which is where I watch MY shows} I haven’t been able to make it a spending priority. But we have people over for Nascar parties, and football parties, and I really do need to get with the times and fork out the cash to upgrade. Not just for the convenience of being able to rearrange furniture without this big beast of a TV, but also because there are so many cool add-ons you can’t get to an old-school TV anymore.

Home Cinema Projector: This is definitely one that would be for the whole family…. We’ve got a big pool out back, and I am dying to get a seriously good quality projector, where we could watch movies outside while we’re in the pool. Or project against the shop and have blankets and lawn chairs at night, drive-in movie style. Or maybe the guys could use it on the shop doors, to project videos from the past week’s race. So many ideas – and totally something everyone in the family would love!

GoPro HERO3+ Black Edition Action Camcorder: My mister has been dying for one of these for the longest time. He’s a race car driver – and these are an awesome way to capture the action. But it took awhile for me to see the point…. Then recently I got one of my own, to create a video for the Forever Summer campaign with OshKosh B’Gosh – click there to check out the amazingly cool videos of your kids and family you can create with this gadget. Now that I’m using it, I am a huge fan. And I can understand why he’s wanted one, and needs one of his own. {Because I don’t like to share my toys…. :)}
