Hip Scarves Bring Fashion & Fun to Dance Workouts

This is not a sponsored post. No compensation was given. I just absolutely love these scarves and know you will too!

“I never regret it when I do it, but I always regret it when I don’t.” – Devin McDonald Vinson, 37, Portland, OR… I found this quote online recently, and LOVE it. And I love that it’s from another Pacific Northwest-er like me. {I’m right above Oregon, in Central Washington.} As many of you lovely ladies know – I had started on a major weight-loss mission a couple of months ago. And – one of the things that I’ve been doing a ton of lately is dancing. Whether it’s playing Just Dance on the Wii, going to classes at the gym, impromptu dance parties while my 3-year old and I make dinner, or trying out my Zumba and dance aerobics videos in the living room – dancing is an awesome to get rid of stress, get in shape, and have fun while doing it. And my little girl loves joining me!

Jinglies belly dancing scarves - dance class must-haves

Dancing makes weight loss fun!

Whatever your weight-loss goals are – dancing can help you get there. And… No matter what type of dancing you do, whether it’s at home, or in a weight loss class, or from following a video, I totally recommend you buy a belly dancing scarf. {And my favorites, the Jinglies Hip Scarves I posted above, are only around $10 each! Crazy, right?}  –  Learn why they rock:

The dance atmosphere is catching on in thousands of local gyms across the United States. You’ll find classes online, on video, and at your fave gyms like Curves, Shapes, 24 Hour Fitness, LA Fitness and YMCA. This super addicting trend has assimilated to an estimated five million members at local gyms – it’s attracting new customers like crazy, and keeping existing customers excited. The traditional gyms are acknowledging that exercising can actually be fun!

Some gyms are adding in Belly Dancing classes, Zumba Fitness and Latin Fusion to their once boring track that nobody ran on. Instead of tight shorts and a tidy whitey t-shirt, fitness enthusiasts are wearing glow in the dark racer back shirts, neon cargo pants and pink leopard jinglies dance scarves for their upcoming fashion session. And something that I can’t recommend enough are hip scarves! Belly dancing hip scarves come in many shapes and sizes – they help you keep to the beat, look stylish, and bring so much fun to a dance-style workout class. Check it out:

Jinglies, also known as a hip scarf, is a five-foot-wide skirt that has about 150 coins that jingle as the person walks, dances or makes any movement. The musical coins help them follow the beat of the music as they are dancing their hips and getting an effective ab core workout. Calories start to burn as the time slips away in to the forgotten bliss of the song, “Give me everything tonight,” by the artist Pit Bull.
