What is Your Happy Haven?

As most of you know, when I found out that I was going to be a mom, I started moving towards a cleaner, greener, lifestyle… I didn’t do this to be trendy. I didn’t do it to be cool. I did it, behind the scenes, imperfectly, to try and learn how to make changes that would keep us safer and healthier, without causing me to make totally drastic lifestyle changes. We’re still far from perfect, but I feel like we’ve moved miles away from the way we used to live! So, to help me along my way, I’m also always on the lookout for cool tools and resources that can help me make changes, without being extreme. A recent favorite of mine is HappyHavens.com. Learn why…

Happy Havens covers a wide array of topics from DIY and wellness to tips for saving money and going green. Happy Havens covers a wide array of topics from DIY and wellness to tips for saving money and going green. A “Happy Haven” is living in a space that truly feels like a home; it is sustainable to the environment, healthy to live in, and lessens the risk of disease for you and your loved ones. I’ve done SO much to help make our home be a ‘Happy Haven” – by using low VOC paints, buying as many things as possible that are BPA free, and growing my own fruit and veggie garden to get Abby the healthiest foods possible. Well, this site wants to help people live a better life too – They want their visitors to feel happier and more productive in the spaces they inhabit, whether through improving air quality, feeling good about saving energy, or having beautiful decor and well-organized design. “Enjoy your stay at Happy Havens: let the wellness begin.” You will love it, I’m sure of it.

If you’re working towards a cleaner, and more sustainable lifestyle too, this site is for you.

Right now I am using a corn bristle broom (to save electricity) however a great vacume would be a wonderful way to keep alergyns down on our home. I recycle rain water to use in the 2 camode tanks, to water the pets with and to water the garden with. We use old socks that have lost their pairs and cut them into strips and make “draft busters” our of old sheets or pillow cases, fill then with the sock strips and place them infront of drafty doors.

  12. Our daughter just “flew the nest” and wishes she could have taken our Dyson with her. OH NO, NOT giving it up for anyone! LOL Thanks for the chance to WIN one!! : )

  13. Thank you-this prize is very needed in our home

  14. Lisa Fonseca says
