Hey bloggy friends! This was a mini challenge, that was created for blogging rockstars who are part of the Biannual Blogathon Bash. This current event is over, but you can check out the site to learn more about the next event coming up: Biannual Blogathon Bash.

15 Clever New Ways to Bring Traffic to Your Blog

Quick background about me – I’ve been blogging for 3 years now, full time. I started this bloggy-adventure with the goal of it being a business – a way for me to make money from home while being here with my brand new baby. I have poured crazy amounts of time, effort, money, and heart into growing this site. I’ve read a zillion books, subscribe to a million email newsletters, follow a babillion sites – all just to keep growing, learning, and moving ahead. But, all that work has paid off { I was able to quadruple my traffic last year!} – since now The Mister works for me, and together we run this site, plus some other projects – together, and it allows us to both work from home. I’m extremely passionate about helping others do the same thing, so I hope that if you’re a newer blogger, these tips can help you ramp up your own business too! If you have questions, comments, ideas, or any other feedback – feel free to leave a comment on this post, tweet me using the #Blogathon2 hashtag, or post it to my Facebook wall. I’ll do my best to help! [Read more...]

How I Quadrupled My Blog Traffic in 2013

“I don’t want to go viral – I want to set hearts on fire!” – Coco J. Ginger When working on the web, having something you’ve created “go viral” is kind of like winning the lottery – most of it is luck, but you have more chances at getting lucky the more you play. And in 2013, I got lucky – An old post I’d written over a year before, explaining how I used the web to earn money from home after losing my job, went viral on Pinterest. {See it here: 10 Ways to Earn Money from Home.} I had no idea how powerful Pinterest could be until then, and have no idea still who pinned it to make it take off so well. But, while after 7 months of consistent pageviews, it’s settled back down again, it definitely showed me why it’s important to create good content – you never know what someone will find in your archives and fall in love with! So, as we roll into 2014, I took a hard look at my statistics in Google Analytics, to determine just what worked well this year, what didn’t, and how to hopefully double my traffic again in this new year!

Many of you will remember my weekly Bloggertunities posts that I used to share every Wednesday evening – I know you do, because so many of you email me asking me where they’ve been :) Well, I decided awhile ago to start a handful of new blogs, so that I could separate out the content that I was posting here – So, by the end of October, MeaganPaullin.com will finally be live, and that’s where I’ll start regularly sharing blogging and online business tips. I can’t wait – I’m super excited about it! But, since so many people have been asking, and I’m finally over some of the craziness of summer travel, I’ll be posting them here again until that site is ready. Top 10 Resources for Fashion Bloggers

Ok, I don’t claim to be a fashion blogger – at all… But, I do love fashion. I worked for 10 years in fashion merchandising, management, and visual displays, and loved it. I’m much better at dressing others than I am at dressing myself most days, lol. But – this is another category that I want to get into more this year. Not high fashion craziness – but totally attainable, real-mom fashion. You know – how to still look hot after 4 hours sleep, while chasing a wild toddler. Those type of tips.

Make collages and images, and easily share them to your blog, or with followers on Polyvore. {See some examples of how I use it here: Fashion Posts.
