“Here comes Peter Cottontail, hopping down the bunny trail…” – Yep, that Easter bunny will be on his way before you know it. Did you realize that Easter was super early this year – March 31st? We do a huge Easter Egg Hunt party the Saturday before Easter, so I had hoped it would be later in April, to give the weather time to warm up a little more. But I just learned it was sneaking up on me! So, as I went looking for super cute goodies to add to Abby’s Easter Basket today, I wanted to share a few of my favorite finds with you ladies too….

Girls Cupcake Frosted Apron
Ok, many of you may already know that Flirty Aprons are one of my absolute favorite sites to shop. I adore my Marilyn apron, and have purchased so many of these as gifts for the ladies in my life. And, since Abby is finally big enough to wear their little girls aprons – I of course had to buy her one for her basket! And – right now you can save on them too: All GIRL’S aprons 30% Off + Free Shipping with code GIRL30. Awesomesauce.
Easter Movies and Games
Have you seen the movie Hop, from last year? SO cute. And you can get it for only $9.99 right now. Already a fan of Hop? Check out the video games featuring the characters, like Hop for DS
. Another one that I’ve heard SO much good stuff about {and just pre-ordered for Abby!} is Rise of the Guardians. And you can get a sweet deal on it by grabbing the Rise of the Guardians – Limited Edition Easter Gift Pack
.
Cheap Easter Toys
I am IN LOVE with this little Peek N Peep Eggs set – and Abby is going to go crazy over it. She has a thing for eggs lately… Twice now I’ve caught her cracking a carton of eggs all over the floor, looking for the baby chickens, lol. A few other super affordable Easter basket fillers – Just $1.38 for a little Easter Basket Sticker Book
, a set of four Fisher-Price Little People Easter Eggs
– each one with a cute character inside the egg. Add a HELLO KITTY Easter Bunny
for a little over $6 bucks. And of course – you can’t forget the classic: Crayola 52 Ct Chalk Carton
.
How do you fill your Easter baskets?
We try to limit the candy, since the hundreds of eggs we hide around our property are all filled with candy, coins, and little toys. Plus, there are prizes for finding certain eggs – and those prizes have a lot of candy too. So for Abby’s actual basket she’ll get in the morning, I don’t add many sweets. I’ve picked up some adorable board books, fun spring socks and t-shirts, plus most of the little toys and movies in this post. {The apron is definitely going to be my favorite!} When everything gets here, I’ll share a post on how to put it all together – because a homemade basket is much more fun than store bought! I’d love to hear tips from you guys too – what do you put in baskets? Do you have any fun traditions? Share in the comments!

That egg set is already tucked away in my gift closet for my youngest. It is SO cute, and I discovered it, quite by accident, 75% off at Walgreens a few weeks ago. What a steal!
We do a little bit of candy, but also coins and special prizes in eggs. :) Like “pick the movie on movie night” or “free ice cream with just you and mom.” They love the special prizes!
I adore that apron and it is such a great idea for a basket item. My girls would go nuts.
