Bloggertunities: The Best Opportunities for Women Bloggers 10/18

I know these have been inconsistent again for awhile, and I apologize to those of you who were emailing me saying, “what the heck is up, Meagan?? Where’s the Bloggertunity post today??” The past couple of weeks. It seems like it’s just one crisis after another around here. The latest is that Abby has had more seizures. {You might remember me talking about it a few months ago? She had a seizure that they hoped was maybe a febrile seizure, but it turns out it’s not.} I’ve been so busy traveling to Seattle Children’s Hospital, trying to coordinate appointments between the doctors here, there, and the darn insurance company – Blogging kind of got pushed to the back burner for a bit.

  11. Meagan,

Thanks, as always, for sharing all these great opps!

My youngest son is 12 and started having seizures at age 5. All of his tests have been normal. They have never found a reason for the seizures (which is actually a good thing) and they are not febrile seizures. He has probably had about 25 seizures total through the years – and they are scary and traumatic every single time! Thankfully, his have all occured while he is sleeping or drowsy. He takes seizure medication which does an excellent job at controlling them. We tried to wean him off the med almost 2 years ago, but he began having seizures again. The neurologist continues to hope that it’s something he will “outgrow”. I didn’t realize it but it’s not that uncommon for kids to have unexplained seizures and then outgrow them. I will keep you and your daughter in my thoughts and prayers.

  12. Thanks for the tips and for mentioning What’s Cooking Wednesday! Always happy to have more foodies (or wanna be foodies!) come link up!

  13. I signed up for the blogger blackbook & let them know you sent me. thx!

  15. Meagan, I will keep you and your daughter in my good thoughts. :-)
